PONTIAC GRAND AM 2005 car safety problem was reported on Jan 01, 2011.PONTIAC GRAND AM 2005, manufactured by GENERAL MOTORS LLC had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM . my 2005 pontiac grand am for over a year and a half now has failed to start every time. when the problem occurs i have to wait until my service engine soon light comes on, which sometimes is a few seconds or minutes. aside from that i have had to replace my hazard switch twice now because my blinkers don't blink they stay solid. the car randomly shuts off while driving or stopped at a light, with no warning and can only notice because the doors automatically unlock. recently the chiming noise when programming the clock sounds off multiple times after turning the car on and the doors began locking and unlocking themselves over and over for awhile. now however the doors are permanently locked once the car hits the required safety speed and do not unlock when the car is shut off and key taken out of the ignition, so in order to get out of the vehicle the only way to unlock the doors is with the key fab because the interior automatic locks do not work nor the manual locks either. this car has had more electrical problems than any car i have heard of until researching the issues and realizing that these are common gm problems on certain models and manufactured years and gm refuses to issue a recall. *tr.Mileage was 68000 miles. PONTIAC GRAND AM 2005 car safety problem was reported on Nov 01, 2014.PONTIAC GRAND AM 2005, manufactured by General Motors LLC had a problem with FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM . i took my car in for the recall last wednesday, october 29, 2014 after receiving the notice to a gm dealership here in denver, co to fix the ignition problem in the recall. i was told by the service center they cant fix the problem with my ignition without the original set of pontiac keys from the manufacturer. i bought this car from drivetime dealership in aurora in 2011, and the sets of keys that i received for the car were cut keys from the local hardware store. right now i cant get this fixed, this car is dangerous to drive, the fuel line shuts down at any given random time. im making payments on a car i cant drive, its unsafe. i was hoping the recall would fix this problem. i called drivetime dealer this morning nov, 4th, 2014 to see what they can do for a key and was told they cant help me, the keys that were given to me are the keys they had at time of sale of the car, my car was bought at an auction she said....where do i get the manufacture original pontiac key for this vehicle, since pontiac is no longer in business? would gm be able to make me a key to this car from the vin so i can drive it? i would like to drive this car without being scared it will shut off, it did last saturday morning on the highway, fortunately no one has been was behind me when it decides to shut off so far ! .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 110810 miles.
