Saturn Sc1 1997 Engine And Engine Cooling EngineSaturn Sc1 1997 Engine And Engine Cooling Engine Review #700799 SATURN SC1 1997 car safety problem was reported on Nov 19, 1998.SATURN SC1 1997, manufactured by General Motors LLC had a problem with ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE . while driving our saturn sc2 at approximately 30mph we heard a loud explosion and the vehicle stopped moving. my husband and i exited the vehicle to see what the problem was. the only sign at that time that something was wrong with the vehicle was that there was fluid leaking from underneath the car. we had the vehicle brought back to the house to see what was wrong. my husband looked underneath the car and found a large hole in the rear of the transmission. we then called saturn service and asked that the vehicle be towed. when the vehicle was looked at by a member of the saturn service team of saturn of greenfield,wisconsin they said they had only seen this problem one other time and that they would have to call in a specialist. when i contacted them on the morning of saturday nov. 21, 1998, they said they would not be able to pay for the repair. the reason bieng that we had to have caused it. their explanation is that this type of problem only occurs if you get stuck in snow or mud and quickly shift your car from drive to reverse several times causing the transmission to blow. however on the date of this transmission failure there was no rain to cause mud and no snow. on the date of nov.19, we were told that if we had been going at a higher rate of speed we could have lost control of the car therefore possibly causing an accident and that we were lucky that did not happen. this brings on a question in my mind if we could have been going at a higher rate of speed how could this only be caused by being stuck in snow or mud and shifting from reverse to drive quickly several times? i would also like to note that we had previously had our vehicle in to saturn of greenfield on nov. 3, 1998 for an oil change and a noise in the engine. when the car was looked at they said that the motor mounts had collapsed and needed to be replaced. i feel that this was a minor remedy to keep from repairing a major problem. we have been advised by a lawyer to take pictu.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Vehicle Identification Number (VIN):1G8ZH1271VZ. My wife was raising her 2007 Aura seat up and heard a loud pop. The left rear seat attachment point weld snapped. My 2001 SC2 has issues with shifting into Reverse and Drive when it is cold out. Also, now it feels like its going to stall when I break. What could be causing this? Is the transmission going? Is there any way to fix this? The car has 166K miles, shifting lever broke cant shift any more going down the road the car passlock come on the car will stop & will not start . you have to erased codes then it will start. After 1994 saturn sl2 gets to cruising temp. it starts stalling out at stops. Its like it has a dead spot upon take off. yes one more 98 SL2 that has had this button pop out while parked . Does GM need to hear that one of these cars accidently rolled down a street and killed a kid to realize this issue is unacceptable? They need to make these by the thousands 2004 Saturn Vue AWD when vehicle is cold and I press on gas pedal it won't go over 10 mph for the first couple times I stop after that it runs fine. key will not turn in ignition At 85,000 miles my engine is knocking loud and ready to die and I just put in a new alternator for 2004 Saturn Vue. staurn sl2 automatic sutck in 3rd gear, when this happens, the radio dont work, the electric door locks dont work, and the rear defrost dont work, changed battery but no change When braking my Saturn 2003 Vue there is a thum-thump-thump sound that seems to be coming from the rear. I have had this checked out at the same GMC dealership three different times. The springs on the rear brakes were weak and replaced. The rear All the lamps in the cluster are flickering on and off And the turn signal lamps stay on when you put the key in and turn to first position. what could be the problem does anyone know ?
