Ford Expedition 2008 StructureFord Expedition 2008 Structure Review #10245632 FORD EXPEDITION 2008 car safety problem was reported on Oct 10, 2008.FORD EXPEDITION 2008, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with STRUCTURE . i purchased a black 2008 ford expedition 14 months ago from courtesy ford in altoona pa for 40,000 cash. i recently relocated to clermont fl. and noticed what seemed like sandy grit under my black paint. i thought it was a xzilon paint protection issue and on oct.10 paul kiste accessory mngr. for jarrett ford davenport gave me a signed letter with his name and title at the bottom that stated "upon inspection of mr. conte's vehicle it is my opinion that the paint problem is a factory defect and not due to the xzilon paint protection application" it went on to say i am referring mr. conte to our plant city store(45miles away)to have our paint and body specialist recommend the proper route to take regarding the fixing of this issue. upon arrival my vehicle was inspected by carl demuth body shop mngr,steve flack,and a painter named mike. they acknowledged the problem,told me the sand looking substance was air bubbles under all the paint and pointed out even more defects that i was not aware of such as,"dimples",tiny crater like holes,blemishes exposed by the sunlight,and a few other bodyman terms that i am not familiar with. when i asked what would cause that,carl said "when the vehicles leave the factory the mill spec on the paint should be 3 to 3.5 miles. carl went into the office and returned with a hand held machine that measured the mills of paint on a vehicle. he started at the drivers side front quarter panel and worked his way around the vehicle stopping at the passenger side front quarter panel. the first reading was 11 mills,then 12.5 mills,than 12 mills,then 13 mills and finally 14.5 miles. he said that it was clear to him that at the factory they painted my vehicle saw flaws then repainted and so on and so on. he estimated i had 4 to 5 coats of paint on my vehicle and that if not fixed that my problems will only get worse. he said that he was surprised that it hasn't started cracking and staring yet. he told me a ford rep. would look at it,she did and found no problem. *tr.Mileage was 8000 miles. Ford Expedition 2008 Electrical SystemFord Expedition 2008 Electrical System Review #10619292 FORD EXPEDITION 2008 car safety problem was reported on Aug 05, 2014.FORD EXPEDITION 2008, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM . drove to work all appeared to be fine. after a 12 hours shift returned and vehicle would start; dead battery. replaced battery, as it was original, and all was fine. i remembered that during the week prior to this the driver's seat would not automatically adjust when the key was inserted into the ignition. this was around april 2014. all was fine until again i went to work, 12 hour shift, returned and there was no response upon inserting the key into the ignition. battery gauge needle did not respond and when the key was turned there was no response. a jump pack was connected to the battery and the vehicle was started without any problems. the vehicle was driven, started and stopped five times with no problems. as before, for the past week or two leading up to aug 5th, i noticed that the driver's seat would not automatically adjust when the key was inserted into the ignition or removed. the seat adjustment controls do work. on the morning of aug 6th the vehicle again would not start and it appears that there in not sufficient charge on the battery. (battery gauge had shown that it was being charged) i did hear a constant clicking sound which i found to be coming from the power distribution box under the hood. it appeared to be coming from the fuse or relay that is in the spot marked 55, it is grey in color and marked 5c3t-14b192-aa over p6std. i noticed that when i tried the driver's seat adjustment controls the sound would go away and when release the sound returned. upon connected a charger to the battery the sound also went away. after charging the battery vehicle was able to be started. .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 90000 miles. my 95 ford exploere engine surges when turn my air conditioner on Ihave a 1994 ford probe which has started to idle very low and stalls at times. It is a 4 cyl. w/ air and a 5 speed. any ideas? I replaced the fuel filter, air flow meter and added HEAT to gas tank to dry and clean fuel system. I think my pcv valv should a standard transmission truck start when it is in gear without the clucth engaged? should a 2005 standard transmission ford ranger start when in gear without the clutch engaged? 96 Ford F250 Emergency brake lever gets caught on the auto adjustment spring, causing brakes to be permanently engaged, also allowing the parking break lever to rub against the hub, which can cut through over time. try pushing the pedals button closer to you. you must have the pedal adjustment button to the left of the radio, looks like a foot, that brings the pedals more inward towards the driver. hope it helped. or look carefully if a wire has corroded. it i would check ur multi switch on ur stearing colum on the pedal whats the sound Just bought an '06 E-350 van. Left d'ship got on highway and noticed shimmy when I got to 60....same problem???? that happened to me last night! If you rock the car back and for while shifting then it should release the safety lock! why does it take turning off the veh. while pulling in on the shifter arm, them starting it again while still holding it inwards ever so slightly??
