Toyota 4runner 2005 SeatsToyota 4runner 2005 Seats Review #10105838 TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2005 car safety problem was reported on Dec 22, 2004.TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2005, manufactured by TOYOTA MOTOR NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with SEATS . new 2005 toyota 4runner 4x4 started to show seat rattles after 500 miles. talked to dealer and two service departments, toyota dealerships has deemed the seat rattle an "inherent toyota" problem. no service can be done until toyota issues tsbs. since all new 4runners come from japan with the rattle, service dept. does not know how to fix. but more improtantly, they will not fix b/c all other 4runners in the dealership lot come with rattles. now, 1600 miles and two moths old, the driver seat rattles more than ever. this problem was "inherent" since 2003 whent the 4th generation 4runner was completely redesigned. tons of unhappy customers on the internet "www.toyot-4runner.org" all report the same problem and same lack of "serivice" from toyota. no quality control before the trucks are delivered? i find this hard to believe. dashboard rattles are fixed easily, why not a driver seat? possible saftey concern? *ak.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 500 miles. Toyota 4runner 2005 Tires SidewallToyota 4runner 2005 Tires Sidewall Review #10161344 TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2005 car safety problem was reported on July 03, 2006.TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2005, manufactured by TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION had a problem with TIRES:SIDEWALL . i had just begun acceleration from a stop sign when i heard a noise and the 4runner became loose on the back left. it was making a noise like i had never heard before. i was able to pull to the side of the road after about 100 yards. on inspection, the sidewall had blown in a straight line from about 2 inches from the rim toward the tread creating a nearly straight gash that i could stick my entire hand into. i took the vehicle to gosch toyota (the dealer who sold me the vehicle 8 months ago). they said they do not take care of warranty issues with tires. i took the vehicle to america's tire and they attempted to contact bridegestone for warranty authorization. bridgestone was not open. the service manager agreed to try to call them on wednesday. *jb .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 12960 miles. Toyota 4runner 2005 SeatsToyota 4runner 2005 Seats Review #10164176 TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2005 car safety problem was reported on July 02, 2006.TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2005, manufactured by TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION had a problem with SEATS . driver's seat on new 2005 toyota sr5 4runner rocks and shifts back and forth while driving. dealer has already replaced seat linkage and frame assembly and seat movement has gradually returned in a very short time period. dealership tried to call it a normal condition prior to replacing saying that all seats in 4runner's on the lot were loose from the factory. as vehicle is driven and weight of driver shifts back and forth from stops and starts, linkage in seat weakens and works loose. very poor design. condition is very dangerous and safety should be toyota's #1 concern but obviously not yet. *jb.Mileage was 3000 miles. Toyota 4runner 2005 Vehicle Speed Control Review #10508760 TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2005 car safety problem was reported on Oct 30, 2011.TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2005, manufactured by TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION had a problem with VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL . on october 30, 2011, i was driving off the new london connecticut highway exit and as i was applying my foot on the brake to slow down, my vehicle would not stop, it felt that it was picking up speed instead. i pumped the brakes couple times and pressed on the pedal as far as it could go to the floor. a great fear came over me and my heart started racing, my whole body stiffened, trying hard to focus, i turned my ignition key off in order for my vehicle to stop. by that time the accident occurred.i live in connecticut. i discovered that my warranty was not registered with toyota financial service insurance. i was also informed by toyota motor sales usa inc. that a recall on my vehicle was not corrected by the dealership before they sold it to me. the floor mat which leaned toward the accelerator pedal and interfered with the accelerator pedal arm and became temporarily stuck in a partially depressed position rather than returning to the idle position. when this matter was confronted to conicelli toyota, they stated that they apologized for the human error in missing the recall before delivery. and in reference to the certification of the vehicle; they have found that there was a computer error between conicelli and toyota motors on the processing of the certification information. the apology and explanation about the computer error is false because in order to register the certification of the vehicle with toyota motors inc., conicelli would have had to confirm the recall repair to qualify in delivering a vehicle to a buyer. a manufacture prohibits a dealership to sell a vehicle without repairing a recall. this computer error was corrected on june of 2012, after the recall repair (warranty expired on july 30, 2012.) conicelli toyota dealership located at 512 ridge pike, conshohocken, pa 19428, sold me a fallacious certified vehicle warranty. *tr .Vehicle was involved in a crash. 0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 42000 miles. Toyota 4runner 2005 Unknown Or OtherToyota 4runner 2005 Unknown Or Other Review #10661108 TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2005 car safety problem was reported on Aug 13, 2008.TOYOTA 4RUNNER 2005, manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation had a problem with UNKNOWN OR OTHER . when my toyota had reached approx. 31,000 miles, the sunroof jammed while away from home during a rain storm. fortunately, the car was still in warrantee, so the repair was covered. note: i rarely used the sunroof except for visibility or for ventilation if parked outside without shelter from the sun, i used the tilt mode only, probably a max 50 times.wind noise was objectionable while driving so the only time it was slid was testing at new and after replacement. i like the sunroof as an emergency exit, if it works? at approximately 68,000 miles (equivalent miles from new versus from the first repair to now.) the sunroof again failed, same condition. use had been minimal, living in cold mountain state, again, use since repair approx.25-30 times, condition of rails would indicate any wear. i was told it would cost approx $700 for parts, $2,000 for labor. upon contacting toyota, they said they would pay $700 on parts but no labor ($2,000.). they wouldn't disclose if this was an ongoing problem. is it an ongoing problem with toyota sun roofs? thanks, richard conway stillwater1319@gmail.com.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 31131 miles. got a 99 solara with abs light on trac off light on any clues to what could be problem,seems like a common problem '88 toyota camry i want to know if my car has the proper hooks required by law for a baby car seat? I have a 2006 Rav 4 also with the same problem. The lights were intermittant and usually if it was cold or if I turned the corner hard the lights would come on. The car has 50,000 miles and I check the brakes pads they have about 5 to 6 K left.
