Subaru Outback 2013 Power TrainSubaru Outback 2013 Power Train Review #10482284 SUBARU OUTBACK 2013 car safety problem was reported on Oct 08, 2012.SUBARU OUTBACK 2013, manufactured by SUBARU OF AMERICA, INC. had a problem with POWER TRAIN . i bought a subaru outback 2.5 limited on 9/29/12. there has been intermittent clicking noises during acceleration and when taking foot off the gas pedal, usually when near or above 38 miles per hour. the clicking noises range for low to loud. my car has now been in the dealer for over 1 week. the first time i took it in they said it was due to a loose panel behind the glove compartment and they "screwed" it in place. the same noise continued to occur without improvement. i then went on ride with the service clerk and he thought he heard it when he was driving but not when he was a passenger. then i left the car with the dealership service and the service manager drove it today and denies he hears any abnormal noises. even before the service manager drove the car, he said he spoke to their corporate technician and was told it was likely just a normal cvt noise, essentially dismissing my concern. so i wasn't surprised when he denied hearing it. now the general manager is taking my car home for a test drive today. i am going to record the noise for them and their corporate and an attorney if they still deny hearing it. *tr .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 400 miles. Subaru Outback 2013 SteeringSubaru Outback 2013 Steering Review #10491963 SUBARU OUTBACK 2013 car safety problem was reported on Aug 27, 2012.SUBARU OUTBACK 2013, manufactured by Subaru of America, Inc. had a problem with STEERING . our complaint is that this 2013 outback subaru continues to drift. it does not just drift one way. you are constantly correcting to keep it in the center of the road. the first time we complained they did an alignment. that did not correct the problem. we then ask if they check the tires. they claimed there is no problem with theirs but they lowered the air pressure and that made it worse. took it back to the dealer and had them increase the air pressure. the service manager keeps telling us there is no mechanical issues. you cannot relax driving this car. i hope i never have to drive it in a snow storm because of the lack of the steering control. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Vehicle Identification Number (VIN):4S4BRCKC6D3. Subaru Outback 2013 WheelsSubaru Outback 2013 Wheels Review #10492018 SUBARU OUTBACK 2013 car safety problem was reported on Dec 12, 2012.SUBARU OUTBACK 2013, manufactured by Subaru of America, Inc. had a problem with WHEELS . when i make a hard right turn, such as pulling out into the near lane or parking, my front passenger tire comes in contact with my fender well - specifically the body molding and violently. when measuring my hub (center) to hub (center), the passenger side of the car is a full .5 inch closer than the driver side. you can also measure the distance between the front tire to fender well and see that the passenger side is closer to the back of the fender well than the driver side. i notified west houston subaru in late dec. 2012 of the problem so they checked the alignment & measured the aforementioned hub/tire/fender distances. they acknowledged a discrepancy between the driver and passenger side; said they would contact subaru of america (soa) and follow up... unfortunately i had to contact them back... then it was suggested i contact soa myself so i did on january 8, 2013. at this time soa nor the dealership is willing to address my problem however many people in the www.subaruoutback.org forum are describing the exact same problem. Subaru Outback 2013 SeatsSubaru Outback 2013 Seats Review #10502116 SUBARU OUTBACK 2013 car safety problem was reported on Mar 06, 2013.SUBARU OUTBACK 2013, manufactured by Subaru of America, Inc. had a problem with SEATS . seat head rest is too far forward and upper seat contours backward, putting pressure on neck and affecting spine. seat needs added support (with a small upper back support and probably a lumbar support) to take pressure off the neck and get the head free from being pushed. neck should be straight. over time this will damage the spine if the headrest isn't made adjustable or support added to the seat. i'm adding support to the seat from aftermarket cushioning to get the pressure off my head/neck. would like an adjustable headrest as was included in the 2013 subaru impreza to get the headrest off the head (and the pressure off the neck, to get my neck and back straight). --- i am worried about receiving spam so didn't want to fill out some of the extra info asked for. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 4500 miles. Subaru Outback 2013 Air BagsSubaru Outback 2013 Air Bags Review #10551123 SUBARU OUTBACK 2013 car safety problem was reported on Oct 31, 2013.SUBARU OUTBACK 2013, manufactured by Subaru of America, Inc. had a problem with AIR BAGS . i was traveling west bound in the furthest right hand lane at approximately 45-mph on los angeles ave. on 10/31/13 in moorpark, ca at approximately 11:30 a.m. on thursday morning. a full-size ford f150 pickup truck failed to yield while making a left turn into the adjacent shopping center. he was turning left out of a median divider in the center of a four-lane highway. there is no marked signs or lights to make a left turn there, but you must yield to oncoming traffic on la ave. from the broken yellow lined center divider. i hit the side of the truck causing the truck to spin around with the force of the impact. my air bags failed to deploy even though the impact of the crash was significant, the whole front end of my car was severely damaged, and the crash was essentially head-on. i suffered a acute cervical strain, and i went to the hospital the day after with pain. i am in the process of getting further testing to see the severity of my injuries. my two-year old daughter was in her britax car seat in the passenger side back seat, and luckily she was unharmed in the incident. i am very shocked that the air bags did not deploy, and i feel like this is a major safety concern that should be investigated. *tr.Vehicle was involved in a crash. 1 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 8600 miles. Subaru Outback 2013 Vehicle Speed Control Review #10553127 SUBARU OUTBACK 2013 car safety problem was reported on Nov 08, 2013.SUBARU OUTBACK 2013, manufactured by Subaru of America, Inc. had a problem with VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL . after stopping at a stop sign, i attempted to drive off, but the car did not accelerate on application of the throttle pedal. the engine remained at idle, and the car rolled slowly into the intersection. nothing i did corrected the problem until i placed the transmission in park, turned off the engine, then re-started the car. the car then performed normally until i reached the next stop sign, where the problem repeated. in all, the problem occurred seven (7) times on this day, apparently at random. that is, at some stops the car performed normally, and at other stops, the car failed to accelerate when the throttle pedal was depressed. the service department at my subaru dealer was unable to replicate the problem and therefore performed no repairs. two weeks later, the problem occurred again, three (3) times in two days. this is an extremely dangerous problem, because it can leave the car in a busy intersection without the ability to move until the driver turns off the car and then re-starts it. this problem has been noted by other subaru outback owners in online forums, and at least one other vehicle safety complaint has been filed regarding this problem. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 4600 miles. Subaru Outback 2013 EngineSubaru Outback 2013 Engine Review #10638347 SUBARU OUTBACK 2013 car safety problem was reported on May 02, 2013.SUBARU OUTBACK 2013, manufactured by Subaru of America, Inc. had a problem with ENGINE . excessive oil consumption: the vehicle was purchased new in december 2012. at mileage 4,682, the engine oil level warning light illuminated. i took it to the original dealer and they observed that the oil level was low and they topped it off. the next time the light illuminated, the dealer initiated an oil consumption test. according to the test parameters, the vehicle did not consume oil excessively during the test period. following the first test, the engine oil level warning light illuminated on 2 other occasions and the dealer performed 2 modified oil consumption tests (see fb engine oil control ring tsb oil consumption test). again both tests showed no oil consumption during the test interval. the second test was performed at 16,976 miles and the third test performed at 20,896 miles. the light would illuminate prior to the next schedule oil change (dealer recommends 5,550 miles) at approximately 3,500 miles. i submitted a warranty claim with subaru north america and they authorized a short block replacement at 22,270 miles. .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 4682 miles. Subaru Outback 2013 Vehicle Speed ControlSubaru Outback 2013 Vehicle Speed Control Review #10670219 SUBARU OUTBACK 2013 car safety problem was reported on Dec 02, 2014.SUBARU OUTBACK 2013, manufactured by Subaru of America, Inc. had a problem with VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL . prior to this incident, i had noticed several occasions where the engine would suddenly rev for no reason while i was driving at a slow speed or braking. this incident happened on dec 2, 2014 at approx. 7:40am eastern time. as i was approaching the security check-in gate at my job, traveling about 10 mph, i depressed the brake to slow down and wait for the gate to open. as i was slowing down, the engine suddenly rev'd to maximum and the car accelerated and lurched forward. i was not able to stop or control the car and it crashed through the security barrier gate. no one was injured and there was no damage done to the car, but the metal arm of the gate was severely bent. i took the vehicle to my subaru dealer several days later to be inspected and report the incident. the dealer said there was a problem with the engine control module (ecm) and updated the software. since then, the car has run smoothly with no further acceleration problems. the ecm update also seemed to solve a problem i had experienced where the car had difficulty starting up..Vehicle was involved in a crash. 0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 35700 miles. Subaru Outback 2013 Reports
I test drove a 2011 Subaru Outback yesterday at night in a very dark area with the headlights on. I could only see out of the bottom third of the windshield. The top two thirds of the windshield looked as if a black curtain had dropped down over i I notice if I quickly accelerate/go into overdrive - front of car will hum. Do I need to have something checked out? 2004 forester xt, strong gas smell in the cold weather when the heat is on. They won't fix it because they "can't find it" at my dealership. Do I need a new fuel line or is there an easier fix? Thank you for these, can find a decent review now. My 1998 subaru forester stutters/hiccups/bucks (whatever you call it) when going uphill, and when accelerating on a straight path, can it be the transmission? I HAVE A SUBARU FORESTER 2000 TAIL LIGHT/PLATE LIGHT/'FRONT SIGNAL LIGHT STAYS ON.ONCE FUSE IS REMOVED LIGHT GOES OUT.WHAT COULD THE PROBLEM BE? I own a 2008 Subaru impreza, till last week i was fine, but now it is having some problem i.e it is making whining sound from steering pump, will i have to replace the steering pump and hoe much will it cost. Standard on all Impreza models are anti lock disc brakes, stability control, front seat side airbags, side curtain airbags and active front head restraints to help mitigate crash-induced whiplash 2006 Subaru outback died. Will not tke a boost. With battery cable connected there is an error code in the odometer. Does anybody know what this can be? 2007 Forester bangs into gear-been doing this mainly in cold weather but now all the time. Dealer always says not problem-it has to "warm up" and doesnt want ot deal with it. My 2002 Impreza Outback Sport's check engine light comes on when I'm going downhill, not all the time. Also (not all the time), if I don't downshift when coming to a stop, the car dies, not stalls, dies. It starts right back up. The engine l i just wrecked my 04 wrx front impact and no air bag and seat belt locked after the impact...how do i contact some one to have this investigated?
