Ford Fusion 2013 Fuel/propulsion System Review #10497883 FORD FUSION 2013 car safety problem was reported on Oct 25, 2012.FORD FUSION 2013, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM . i've been having an issue with my gas tank since i've owned the car since oct 2012. when i fill up, the car sometimes fills all the way on the gauge, sometimes it doesn't. if it does it drops from full to half a quarter by 10-20 miles. also, ive never been able to fill up to around 16 gallons. the car is supposed to have a 16.5 gallon fuel tank. i run the car to approx 12 miles left, till the warning light comes on and i can only get roughly 12 gallons in the tank. either the tank that was installed is wrong or the computer gauge is off. i'm only able to drive about 315 on a "full" tank. that is not right for a car that's supposed to be a 27-37mpg car. which i only get about 24-26mpg since i've owned the car. i do a mix of highway and city driving, mostly highway averaging 45mph driving. i've told brien ford in everett of this issue but they wont look at it since it hasn't been recognized by ford. there's a really big response to this issue on many forums. i follow the most popular for fusions at http://www.fordfusionforum.com/topic/8957-2013-fusion-fuel-tank-filling-issues/. the dealer told me i would have to pay to have them research it when is a horrible thing to do, when i know there's an issue. when i'm only able to get about 12 gallons in the tank. the fusion hybrid se has a 13.5 gallon tank, i think the tanks got installed incorrectly, and me along with many others got the hybrid tank instead of the normal 16.5 gallon tank. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 3400 miles. Ford Fusion 2013 Fuel System, GasolineFord Fusion 2013 Fuel System, Gasoline Review #10511257 FORD FUSION 2013 car safety problem was reported on Mar 01, 2013.FORD FUSION 2013, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE . like many other 2013 fusion owners, i also have an issue when refueling. the best example thus far was purposely running down to three miles to empty before refueling. i was able to pump only 12.861 gallons into the 16.5 gallon tank - this included three top-off clicks of the pump. i had the car at the dealership to check this issue out. the service adviser told me he contacted ford engineering regarding the concern. ford replied that they knew there was an issue and were working on a solution at that time. i have read that others were told by dealerships that the tank does fill, but that ford set the fuel gauge to allow for a reserve after zero miles to empty. if this is true, there is a 22% reserve allowance in my case noted above. i consider this a safety issue as the consumer must know, with reasonable accuracy, the fuel level of their vehicle so they do not run out of fuel on busy or remote roads ford needs to respond to dealers/customers to explain the issue, and what is going to be done to resolve it. *tr .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 250 miles. Ford Fusion 2013 SteeringFord Fusion 2013 Steering Review #10663514 FORD FUSION 2013 car safety problem was reported on Dec 10, 2014.FORD FUSION 2013, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with STEERING . on december 10th, i went to pull off and while i was in drive, a warning came up that said "steering assist failure." and my steering locked on me. prior to this, i have made several complaints to ford, informing them that over the last 6, my car has gotten increasingly louder and shakes terribly. they've ignored my concerns and dismissed me multiple times, stating that if nothing is found on the computer, they cannot do anything. in october, i refused to leave the service department until someone checked my concerns. finally, a mechanic sat in my car and listened to the loud rattling noise. he said "that's not normal." upon inspection, the mechanic said that he found 2 loose clips that attach to my fuel line. i was told that my entire fuel line needed to be replaced, but that the part was on back order. they said i needed to still drive my car despite the "loose clips. " i don't know how accurate their diagnosis is, but they said my part would finally be here on november 17, 2014. when i called again yesterday, they said it was still on back order! from what i'm reading about this steering wheel lock problem, it sounds like my prior concerns can all be related. ford said they didn't have a recall for my steering wheel problem and asked me to drive my car there! i informed them that my steering wheel locked on me and that i did not feel safe! i'm furious at the way i have been treated as a customer and i feel like no one cares about my safety. .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 19500 miles. Ford Fusion 2013 Service BrakesFord Fusion 2013 Service Brakes Review #10668968 FORD FUSION 2013 car safety problem was reported on Dec 11, 2014.FORD FUSION 2013, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with SERVICE BRAKES . this is a case of multiple incidents, first incident with significant issue was on 12/11/2014. as i was pulling out of my driveway and reversing across two lanes of traffic, my car turned off and said "press brake to start" (i have the push-start-ignition). the car turned off as i was revering across the street, i had to put the car in park in order to restart the car. i restarted the car and drove it to the dealership, which they have never heard of this issue and said they could not get me in for an appointment until 12/15. on 12/14/2014, as i was driving down the road at ~25mph, my car started to act like it was going to quit, before i could pull off to the side of the road, the car turned off and said "press brake to start" i was able to get the car to the side of the road, as i did i put the car in park and tried to restart the car and it just kept rolling over and i had to push the start button to get it to stop, as i did, the brakes and steering wheel locked and i had to have the car towed to the dealership. the dealership had the car for 3 days, could not find an issue. i filed a complaint with ford and they have closed my case saying there is not an issue. it is now at a 2nd dealership where they can not find an issue. i have been told by ford to continue driving my car until the issue happens again, which is a major concern for my personal and others safety as i am driving down the road. when the car quits, i have hardly any control over the vehicle and luckily i have been going at slow pace, but i do not feel safe driving this car and feel like ford has given up on me. this car has been nothing but problems since i've had it with 9 recalls and now this issue, i am concerned that i am not the only person having this issue and would like to have the problem addressed before someone is in a serious accident..0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 22550 miles. Ford Fusion 2013 Electronic Stability ControlFord Fusion 2013 Electronic Stability Control Review #10672603 FORD FUSION 2013 car safety problem was reported on Jan 12, 2015.FORD FUSION 2013, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL . about 2wks a go i noticed the following messages on dashboard.... 1- service advance trac (on right side of speedometer, there were two vehicle on a trac icons) 2- hill assist not available. 3- abs light stayed on while driving. all the above warning messages came on every time i started the car and had to hit the ok button several times to make the hill assist message go away, but abs and service advance trac remained on while driving. two days ago, while driving to work, i notice the car started turning diagnal and sliding forward towards on coming lane on the left, i managed to bring my car back over to my lane and this is when i notice it picked up a little bit more speed, kept on sliding at an angle, by this time the car is now perpendicular to the road, sliding forward at the same time heading towards the ditch on the right, my car kept sliding without any sense of traction, fell on its left side and kept on going and landed in the embankment in the snow on its left side. it did snow the week before and the roads were plowed, i have driven this road many times in the snow (at times without being plowed) without any issues listed above and i also know how the car is suppose to feel when traction is working and i did not feel that. this is my first time having this problem and having this type of accident. thank god, i was not hurt and was able to climb out of the car through the passenger door in 10degree weather while the car was standing on its left side. i did notify the dealer when the warnings initially came on and was to bring it in last thursday, but unfortunately i did not get out of work in time and dealer had closed. i called them the next day and service person assured me it was ok to drive it until i brought it in. the dealer service dept were very helpful and provided me with rental car until car is fixed. i have pics if needed..Vehicle was involved in a crash. 0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 44000 miles. my 95 ford exploere engine surges when turn my air conditioner on Ihave a 1994 ford probe which has started to idle very low and stalls at times. It is a 4 cyl. w/ air and a 5 speed. any ideas? I replaced the fuel filter, air flow meter and added HEAT to gas tank to dry and clean fuel system. I think my pcv valv should a standard transmission truck start when it is in gear without the clucth engaged? should a 2005 standard transmission ford ranger start when in gear without the clutch engaged? 96 Ford F250 Emergency brake lever gets caught on the auto adjustment spring, causing brakes to be permanently engaged, also allowing the parking break lever to rub against the hub, which can cut through over time. try pushing the pedals button closer to you. you must have the pedal adjustment button to the left of the radio, looks like a foot, that brings the pedals more inward towards the driver. hope it helped. or look carefully if a wire has corroded. it i would check ur multi switch on ur stearing colum on the pedal whats the sound Just bought an '06 E-350 van. Left d'ship got on highway and noticed shimmy when I got to 60....same problem???? that happened to me last night! If you rock the car back and for while shifting then it should release the safety lock! why does it take turning off the veh. while pulling in on the shifter arm, them starting it again while still holding it inwards ever so slightly??
