Ford Fusion 2009 SteeringFord Fusion 2009 Steering Review #10275848 FORD FUSION 2009 car safety problem was reported on Sept 24, 2008.FORD FUSION 2009, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with STEERING . 2009 ford fusion front end pull or drift. i have a fusion that will literally run off the road when hands are not correcting the steering. while everyone knows it is unsafe to drive with no hands on the wheel, we all do it from time to time and in most cars this is not a concern since the car will go straight over a considerable distance. this car however will run off the road in a matter of seconds and is a considerable safety hazard. ford's response to the problem is to instruct their dealers through an internal memo, not to "attempt a repair for this problem." this is unacceptable for a company that is touting their cars to be vastly improved over toyota and honda. at least their cars go straight down the road with little effort having to be given by the driver. i have driven two of these cars (one of which i own) and both do the same thing. this needs to be investigated and a repair found. *tr.Mileage was 56 miles. Ford Fusion 2009 Engine And Engine Cooling EngineFord Fusion 2009 Engine And Engine Cooling Engine Review #10281877 FORD FUSION 2009 car safety problem was reported on July 10, 2009.FORD FUSION 2009, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE . 1. engine threw a rod resulting in catastrophic engine failure july 10, 2009: while traveling the i805 s in san diego, ca, the vehicle engine exploded without warning causing loss of vehicle control. no warning lights were illuminated, there were no noises, nothing to indicate what was about to happen. i was heading to work at approximately 1pm, with cruise control set to 65mph, when i began to near my freeway interchange. it's an area where two freeways meet and merging traffic is moving much slower. cruise control was disengaged and the vehicle gradually began to slow from 65mph. merging traffic was trying to move right to left and i was trying to move left to right; once i saw my opening, i pressed the accelerator pedal to speed up. instantly there was a loud explosion and the vehicle jolted. my first reaction was that i had been rear ended or hit by another vehicle. the vehicle began to 'buck' and threw itself into the lane to it's right. smoke was billowing out from under the hood and bottom of the vehicle. the interior hvac system pulled smoke into the passenger compartment during this time. i managed to brake and move to the shoulder, during this time there were bursts of power and then deceleration. when the vehicle was finally under control, my next thought moved to the fire danger it posed to the surrounding freeway embankment and residential areas above. i allowed the vehicle to coast down the home ave exit ramp and parked it in the center of home ave. i literally leapt from the vehicle and ran to pull my school and work material from the trunk. i attempted to call 911 6 times before giving up and calling my work manager. he was able to get through to 911 dispatchers that eventually sent a firetruck. 2. failure happened once 3. ford replaced entire engine assembly and miscellaneous damaged components. *tr.Vehicle was on fire. Ford Fusion 2009 WheelsFord Fusion 2009 Wheels Review #10323933 FORD FUSION 2009 car safety problem was reported on Mar 20, 2010.FORD FUSION 2009, manufactured by FORD MOTOR COMPANY had a problem with WHEELS . about a month after the car was bought, the tire pressure warning light would turn on about once every other month. we would always check the tire pressure and refill as needed. but in the middle of april the light came on every other day and the car started to pull strongly to the left. we thought there might have been a small, slow leak in the tire, so we brought it to sears. they were not able to find a leak, but they located a crack in the rim of the wheel. no one knows how it got there. we never hit anything. but the sears tech's said that it might have been there as a small hole at the beginning and it got bigger over the time. the crack in the wheel is what caused the air to leak from the tire. they thought it was much too dangerous to let us drive around with this crack. we brought the car to the dealer to have it fixed under the warranty but they claim that we must have hit something (which we did not), and don't want to cover it. as of right now we are driving on the spare tire because ford is not taking the blame. we have to wait a month to see their ford tech representative. *tr.Mileage was 20000 miles. Ford Fusion 2009 Vehicle Speed ControlFord Fusion 2009 Vehicle Speed Control Review #10616773 FORD FUSION 2009 car safety problem was reported on May 28, 2014.FORD FUSION 2009, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL . while merging onto a freeway my car experienced a sudden loss of power while driving. shortly afterwards my check engine light came on and i took it to the dealer to see what it was. it was a bad catalytic converter i was told that it would take 4 weeks to get one in. meanwhile it being my only car i asked and was denied a loaner vehicle from ford motor co. and i was told that the vehicle was still safe to drive as long as i did not let it goo too long without the repair. i called back 4 weeks later and was told that it would be an additional 4-8 weeks as there were "no" parts to be found anywhere. this worried me greatly as they even said problems could arise if driven too long without being fixed. so i filed a complaint with ford motor company and was treated like crap by them. they told me they were willing to help but "not" willing to do anything. so i called a local news station who put me in touch with their executive offices where i got the same response. no loaner vehicle and no compenstaion for the extra gas i had to buy as it sucked it down. whenever someone from ford's calls me i am lucky to get a sentence in before they hung up on me! thankfully to my contacting a local news station they made enough headway with ford that my part "finally" arrived today on 07/28/14 but i am extremely upset that ford would put me in the situation where myself and my family could be in danger by driving an automobile that is not safe. driving with bad catalytic converters is not safe and could cause all sorts of other issues and the fact that ford's encouraged me to do so is frightening. this for one along with the gm issues has me seriously thinking of buying a foreign automobile for the first time ever. it was wrong what ford motor company did to myself and my family and i hope that this complaint will prevent them from doing this again in the future!.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 38000 miles. my 95 ford exploere engine surges when turn my air conditioner on Ihave a 1994 ford probe which has started to idle very low and stalls at times. It is a 4 cyl. w/ air and a 5 speed. any ideas? I replaced the fuel filter, air flow meter and added HEAT to gas tank to dry and clean fuel system. I think my pcv valv should a standard transmission truck start when it is in gear without the clucth engaged? should a 2005 standard transmission ford ranger start when in gear without the clutch engaged? 96 Ford F250 Emergency brake lever gets caught on the auto adjustment spring, causing brakes to be permanently engaged, also allowing the parking break lever to rub against the hub, which can cut through over time. try pushing the pedals button closer to you. you must have the pedal adjustment button to the left of the radio, looks like a foot, that brings the pedals more inward towards the driver. hope it helped. or look carefully if a wire has corroded. it i would check ur multi switch on ur stearing colum on the pedal whats the sound Just bought an '06 E-350 van. Left d'ship got on highway and noticed shimmy when I got to 60....same problem???? that happened to me last night! If you rock the car back and for while shifting then it should release the safety lock! why does it take turning off the veh. while pulling in on the shifter arm, them starting it again while still holding it inwards ever so slightly??
