Infiniti Fx45 2004 Latches/locks/linkages Review #10339919 INFINITI FX45 2004 car safety problem was reported on Jan 01, 2009.INFINITI FX45 2004, manufactured by NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC. had a problem with LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES . 2004 infiniti fx45 - door power lock (actuator) not working correctly. this failure is an intermittent of operation. sometimes the doors lock ok, other times they don't. in addition, sometimes the doors unlock ok, other times they don't. it is possibly a safety issue. the door lock is most "lazy" and the problem worsens in hot weather. quick search online reveals that this is vastly common problem in infiniti/nissan cars. 1. having a secure environment is paramount in certain neighborhoods. when locking the doors it's imperative nobody can gain access at will by walking up to the car. if anyone can simply open the door to gain access, carjacking, injury, or even murder is easier. if the doors locked properly this provides a more secure environment for this type of scenario. 2. nissan knowing there is a security problem with their locking mechanism and not recalling them for safety concern is negligent. in this case there's no obvious indication the door isn't locked unless someone walks up and opens it from the outside. the driver "thinks" the door is locked, when in reality it's an "open door" for carjacking or robbery. this failure is an intermittent of operation. sometimes the doors lock ok, other times they don't. in addition, sometimes the doors unlock ok, other times they don't. 3. in emergencies it's important to be able to unlock doors quickly. since 99% of the time we all use the button to lock and unlock doors, using the manual locking lever is unfamiliar. in emergencies every second counts. the locking/unlocking solenoid malfunctioning is clearly a high risk in emergency scenarios. some people who cannot afford the $1600 to have all the locks replaced (as quoted by dealers) will forgo getting them fixed, putting their family members at risk with the above mishap examples. this shouldn't be, nissan should recall them. *tr.Mileage was 40000 miles. My 2004 INFINITI Q45 gear stays in 3rd speed from start. It will drive slow and can't pull fast. Is it an interlock problem ? It is probably worn bushings on the control arms. You can try spaying a silicon spray on them, or just have them replaced gas gauge reads empty when its full.How can I fix? I too have a 2010 g37 convertible and has been in the body shop twice to repair symetrical dents on the middle panel i have a 1998 infiniti i30 and it is hard to start sometimes but when i drive it down the road sometimes it will just die i put it in neture and crank it it cranks just fine little while later it dies again but it always cranks right back up what Infiniti fx35 2003 My car has been losing heat off and on for a couple months now. About two weeks ago it started to overheat while I was driving home. When I pulled over there was coolant pouring out of the bottom of my car. A hose had blow My infiniti 2002 i35 had the same problem once. It stalled for about 7 minutes as i was driving on a small street. The mechanic told me to replace the air filter which was about $13. I haven't had a problem since. MY 94 INFINITI G20 MANUAL TRANSMISSION IS GRINDING AND IS HARD TO SHIFT ON 1ST GEAR I JUST REPLACE THE CLUTCH I DONT HAVE ANY IDEA WHATS WRONG WITH IT I NEED HELP ...as car is coasting into parking space or gas station, engine suddenly accelerates to red zone requiring immediate braking and shutting off of ignition or car would go completely out of control. Has happened a number of times.? my car is shaking replace the electrical part of the ignition switch,it unscrews/seperates from the key part of the switch. mine did the same thing, i bought the part at the dealer for about $34.00, the contacts within the electrical part of switch become bur at random times my car just wont start. after sitting it starts back up. not today . while driving down the road , it started shaking and smoking and when i gave it some gas it didnt do anything. ended up getting a tow now its in my drive way and
