My infiniti 2002 i35 had the same problem once.  It stalled for about 7 minutes as i was driving on a small street.  The mechanic told me to replace the air filter which was about $13.  I haven't had a problem since.

Infiniti 2004 I35 stopped suddenly twice in the last week- once while exiting the highway and second time, making  a left turn.. Both times car started right away.
