Toyota T100 1997 Steering Linkages Link Drag ConnectionToyota T100 1997 Steering Linkages Link Drag Connection Review #10013887 TOYOTA T100 1997 car safety problem was reported on Apr 03, 2003.TOYOTA T100 1997, manufactured by TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION had a problem with STEERING:LINKAGES:LINK:DRAG:CONNECTION . i have a 1997 toyota t-100 4x4 extended cab pickup truck. the center drag link in the steering failed. i am a licensed professional structural engineer and have knowledge of metal fatique, fabrication defects, etc. the casting appears to have been defective. this component has never been abnormally stressed to the best of my knowledge. the result of the failure left the steering wheel turning freely without changing the direction that the wheels were pointed. the failure actually occurred in a parking lot, therefore there was not additional damage. if the failure had occured minutes earlier i would have been on the interstate traveling at speed. this could have easily been the cause of a catastrophic accident. fortunately, there was no related accident. i took the vehicle directly to the dealer. i have photos of the failure that were taken by the dealer. the photos are digital and are such that they can be emailed. .Mileage was 13000 miles. got a 99 solara with abs light on trac off light on any clues to what could be problem,seems like a common problem '88 toyota camry i want to know if my car has the proper hooks required by law for a baby car seat? I have a 2006 Rav 4 also with the same problem. The lights were intermittant and usually if it was cold or if I turned the corner hard the lights would come on. The car has 50,000 miles and I check the brakes pads they have about 5 to 6 K left. I passanger frount seatbelt tightens up during brakeing and then does not loosen up ? passanger is then held to seat and must remove seatbelt to gain freedom . help - my 1999 toyota corolla power windows stop working. i don't want to spend alot of money on this car. any ideas where tostart 2009 ac drain clogged filled car with 1 inch of water. My 2008 Scion has approximately 31000 miles. I started car up and had no Radio. The clock and courtesy dome lights did not work . When i got to my destination i clicked my door lock button on the key. That does not work either.
