FORD F-750 SD 2007 car safety problem was reported on Jan 03, 2013.FORD F-750 SD 2007, manufactured by Ford Motor Company had a problem with SERVICE BRAKES . after a repair to the transmission by a licensed facility, the prop shaft departed the rear axle due to a flange breaking. the prop shaft failed around and tore off the wiring harness to the transmission and the rear brake lines; the cable to the emergency brake was also compromised. as a result, the engine stopped. all power steering and all braking was lost; the truck rolled to a stop, and then rolled backwards on a busy highway. the driver was able to steer the vehicle into a snow bank. i feel this is a safety issue as a failure like this should not have caused such a catastrophic loss of control- the front brakes at least should have worked. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 150000 miles.
