Dodge Caravan 2007 Electrical System IgnitionDodge Caravan 2007 Electrical System Ignition Review #10192255 DODGE CARAVAN 2007 car safety problem was reported on May 13, 2007.DODGE CARAVAN 2007, manufactured by DAIMLERCHRYSLER CORPORATION had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION . 2007 dodge caravan ignition tumbler spins very easily and vehicle can be turned off by just tapping or bumping the bottom of the key. in my instance, we just bought this van less than a month ago and my knees bumped the keys that were attached to the key in the igntion. subsequently the car turned off leaving me with no brakes & steering. this occurred twice just a couple days after purchasing it and it has been in the shop ever since. luckily when this occurred, the vehicle was in a park position. same problem was also noticed by the tech crew at the dealership on my vehicle and all the other 2007 caravans at the dealership. dealership replaced the ignition in my vehicle twice as well as tried manually tightening the ignition cylinder with no success. dealership said they have no other recourse because chrysler engineering dept. is vowing there is nothing wrong with the parts and that it works as expected. i have gone through the various channels in the chrysler "buyback" program and ultimately spoke with the district manager who stated they do not see any issues and no one else has complained so they will not buy back the vehicle. the suggestions i have received from the chrysler staff said i should adjust my seat, remove extra keys from the one in the ignition and if that doesn't work purchase another vehicle for this is not their problem. normally i like caravans for i have owned another one for 10 years and the ignition on my old van is nothing like this one. ultimately i would like to have some type of fix put in place for i don't think the key should be able to spin that freely. this could be a deadlyconsequence for not only would someone loose braking & steering but i wonder if the vehicle airbags would also be disabled. i would also like to warn other owners of this potentially deadly consequence not only for their safety but for those driving around them. *tr .Vehicle Identification Number (VIN):2D4GP44L77R. Dodge Caravan 2007 TiresDodge Caravan 2007 Tires Review #10195073 DODGE CARAVAN 2007 car safety problem was reported on June 15, 2007.DODGE CARAVAN 2007, manufactured by DAIMLERCHRYSLER CORPORATION had a problem with TIRES . these tires (bridgestone turanza el42 ? 215/65r16) were oem on my 2007 dodge caravan with a firestone/bridgestone warranty. at 10,000 miles i noticed a pull to the right. i purchased a lifetime alignment and rotated the tires at b/f. after another 1300 miles, the pull was a harder right. f/b checked the alignment, stating it was good and told me this was a "belt" issue....put the "bad" tires to the rear and ordered two oem tires. i am awaiting 2 new tires of the same oem (one to be warranted the other self pay). the f/b store, where i purchased the lifetime alignment, tells me you can check a belt problem by cross rotating the tires. until that test is completed, they cannot consider replacing a damaged tire under the warranty. both tires are under the 12 month-2/32 depth warranty provided with my new car. i think f/b should cover the warranty on both damaged tires without any need to test for a belt issue. either the ?bad? belt damaged 2 tires or an improper alignment damaged 2 tires. after reading numerous reviews abt this particular tire on www.nhtsa and www.tirerack.com, i do not want to pay a dime for a turanza el42 replacement tire. reviews of these tires on bmw's, acura's, and dodge/chrysler products show numerous problems from blow-outs, poor tread wear, flat spots, cupping, and belt issues. addendum: while the original f/b store (who initially aligned and rotated my tires) will not consider honoring the tire warranty, i did find another f/b store in my area (20 miles away instead of just 4 miles away) who will replace the 2 worn tires without question and under the warranty. i will speak with the district manager of f/b about both local stores and the good and bad behaviors of each store manager. *tr .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 10000 miles. Dodge Caravan 2007 Power TrainDodge Caravan 2007 Power Train Review #10325183 DODGE CARAVAN 2007 car safety problem was reported on Mar 08, 2010.DODGE CARAVAN 2007, manufactured by CHRYSLER GROUP LLC had a problem with POWER TRAIN . i am currently the owner of a 2007 dodge caravan. on march 8,2010, i noticed oil gushing from the bottom, right hand corner of my 2007 dodge caravan. i immediately drove it to the nearest garage to have it looked at. at this point i only had 30,941 miles on the vehicle the repair technician told me i had a blown cam seal. i contacted chrysler to see if i was still under warranty. chrysler informed me that my warranty was three years or 36,000 miles and that my warranty had expired on december 6, 2010. the garage replaced the camseal, the head gasket, the timing belt, and the oil pan seal. less than a month later i had another oil leak in the same area. i drove it back to the same garage that i took it to last time. this time they looked for the underlying cause of my problem. they took out the oil pan and the oil pump and took a look at the crankshaft. the crankshaft was badly dug into and it appeared to be defective straight from the factory. additionally, there was a defective thrust bearing on the crankshaft. this, they informed me, was causing the crankshaft to wobble or "walk" thereby busting the seal on the oil pump. the garage also informed me that the engine on my mini-van is also the same one that dodge put into the neon and the neons were having the same problem. the particular engine in question is a 2.4l dohc. the garage ordered an after market crankshaft kit and replaced my crankshaft. as a result of both visits to the garage, i have had to spend a total of $1,691.77 to have my vehicle fixed. *tr.Mileage was 30941 miles. Dodge Caravan 2007 Engine And Engine CoolingDodge Caravan 2007 Engine And Engine Cooling Review #10325183 DODGE CARAVAN 2007 car safety problem was reported on Mar 08, 2010.DODGE CARAVAN 2007, manufactured by CHRYSLER GROUP LLC had a problem with ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING . i am currently the owner of a 2007 dodge caravan. on march 8,2010, i noticed oil gushing from the bottom, right hand corner of my 2007 dodge caravan. i immediately drove it to the nearest garage to have it looked at. at this point i only had 30,941 miles on the vehicle the repair technician told me i had a blown cam seal. i contacted chrysler to see if i was still under warranty. chrysler informed me that my warranty was three years or 36,000 miles and that my warranty had expired on december 6, 2010. the garage replaced the camseal, the head gasket, the timing belt, and the oil pan seal. less than a month later i had another oil leak in the same area. i drove it back to the same garage that i took it to last time. this time they looked for the underlying cause of my problem. they took out the oil pan and the oil pump and took a look at the crankshaft. the crankshaft was badly dug into and it appeared to be defective straight from the factory. additionally, there was a defective thrust bearing on the crankshaft. this, they informed me, was causing the crankshaft to wobble or "walk" thereby busting the seal on the oil pump. the garage also informed me that the engine on my mini-van is also the same one that dodge put into the neon and the neons were having the same problem. the particular engine in question is a 2.4l dohc. the garage ordered an after market crankshaft kit and replaced my crankshaft. as a result of both visits to the garage, i have had to spend a total of $1,691.77 to have my vehicle fixed. *tr.Mileage was 30941 miles. Dodge Caravan 2007 Fuel/propulsion SystemDodge Caravan 2007 Fuel/propulsion System Review #10669775 DODGE CARAVAN 2007 car safety problem was reported on Jan 02, 2015.DODGE CARAVAN 2007, manufactured by Chrysler Group LLC had a problem with FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM . after refueling our 2007 dodge grand caravan, it stalled after going less than a mile. we were making a turn at the time. we lost power steering since the engine stalled & the check oil light came on. we were able to get it to the side of the road. after turning it off for a little while, we got it to restart but after driving less than a mile & turning again, it stalled again. this has been happening after refueling off & on for the past six months. once we were in an intersection & it happened. thank goodness we got it restarted & out of the intersection. it was a very scary situation. we brought it to a dodge dealership & they had never heard of the problem & didn't find anything wrong with it. we just don't know what we are to do at this point. i'm scared to drive it myself let alone let my 15 year old drive it with her learner's permit..0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 99280 miles. Dodge Caravan 2007 Fuel/propulsion System Review #10669895 DODGE CARAVAN 2007 car safety problem was reported on Dec 15, 2014.DODGE CARAVAN 2007, manufactured by Chrysler Group LLC had a problem with FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM . everytime we fill up the car it stalls and dies when you drive away. the problem only happens when you fill up the car. the scariest time it cut out and stalled we had just filled up. we were at a stoplight turning left. you have to yield to the oncoming traffic (which has the right of way) which is traveling 55 mph. we pulled out to turn left the car died. and the oncoming traffic had to lock up there brakes and swerve to avoid hitting my family and i. we have been filling only half way up in gas tank around town. which is really annoying. we just took a road trip and it was necessary to fill up all the way to make sure we had enough gas in between towns. we would have to get gas only were we could easily hop on and off the freeway. it would die as we pull out of the gas station. i would restart and drive away. it would than be fine on freeway. once up to speed. this is a huge safety issue for obvious reasons. i hope that someone will figure out the root cause of this issue and no one gets injured from it. i called dodge who said they had no reported issues of this problem. please get to the bottom of this asap before someone gets hurt. .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 65000 miles. I have a 2008 Dodge Nitro thats rear driver side light does not work. I have taken it to a mechanic that can't find out why it won't work and have spent 200.00 He thinks it might be in the wiring system . I have also seen other Dodge Nitro same ye Every time it rains heavily the passenger floor gets soaking wet. My car has never been in an accident or any body damage. It is a 2007 Nitro 4X4. Wasn't there a recall years ago for fixing the roof rack assembly? Has anyone else ever had this iss stereo is all static but the cd player works fine...antennae perhaps? I have the same problem. Dodge can't find the problem so they told me to take it. Next week I'm turning it in and go through the lemom law. Very frustrating when you buy the warrrant and they can't fix it. Garrrrrrrrr. Ihave a 95 Dodge Avenger and the 30 Amp starter/ignition fuse keeps blowing. As soon as you turn the key the instrument panel lights are dim and then the fuse blows. I have replaced the starter, cables, ignition switch, fusible link and battery an 2004 Dodge 2500 Ram Truck, Laramie trim package...horn goes off with no one around it - truck is off and parked in the driveway, keys were not touched. power windows won't work pushing window buttons causes the water in fuel lite to come on along with the brake indicator lite and wait to start lite also turning on the a/c heater causes the same thing soon as you release the switches lites go out 2001 Dodge 5.9 cummins going down the road it sputtered 3 times & shut off and will not restart I purchased a new Dodge Grand Caravan from Bankston Dodge of Grand Prairie, Texas in May of 2008. Less than 8 months after that (around 12,000 miles) my front brakes went completely out with no indication whatsoever of any problems (The device tha 1995 DODGE NEON 1.6l Feels like it is slipping while driving. with brake pedal depressed car surges, Probably not the door seals. You may have to unstop the two drains that can get filled with debris. The two drains are located in the trough under the grill work that is under the wiper blades. You will need to remove the wiper arms, then remove a '06 dakota - unable to put fuel in gas tank
