Chevrolet Aveo 2006 Air Bags Frontal Sensor/control ModuleChevrolet Aveo 2006 Air Bags Frontal Sensor/control Module Review #10174878 CHEVROLET AVEO 2006 car safety problem was reported on Feb 01, 2006.CHEVROLET AVEO 2006, manufactured by GENERAL MOTORS CORP. had a problem with AIR BAGS:FRONTAL:SENSOR/CONTROL MODULE . the air bag sensor light stays on while someone is riding in the passenger seat. according to the dealer if you weight between 80 and 120 lb. this may occur. however, it happens when my daughter who weights 140 lbs rides in the seat as well. this is a definitely safety hazard and needs to have a recall done. i have complained to the dealer since i purchased the car in jan 2006. in july they replaced the sensor, they replaced the seat bottom (the pattern did not match my interior) and it worked correctly. after ordering the correct pattern and installing in my car the problem continues to persist. it is an inconsistent problem. i can ride in the passenger seat to the store and the light will go off, on the trip back it stays on. during one trip to the store while my daughter was in the passenger seat the light stayed on so i drove to the dealer, both the general manager and the service manager saw her in the seat with the light on. they ran diagnostics on the car and it shows no malfunctions. they stated there was nothing they could do since the diagnostics didn't show any error codes. how safe is this!!! it is imperative the general motors be forced to fix this problem. they are aware of the problem as i have written the president and yet the 2007 still has the same air bag system. i can not count the number of times this has happened. i would appreciate contract and resolution to this issue. *nm.Mileage was 10 miles. Chevrolet Aveo 2006 Air BagsChevrolet Aveo 2006 Air Bags Review #10216199 CHEVROLET AVEO 2006 car safety problem was reported on Jan 14, 2008.CHEVROLET AVEO 2006, manufactured by GENERAL MOTORS CORP. had a problem with AIR BAGS . i have a 2006 chevrolet aveo 5 door. i purchased the vehicle brand new. at 32,000 miles the airbag mil came on, not due to any accident or other event which could have caused a problem with the airbags. i returned the car to the chevrolet dealership; they said the issue was due to a loose connection at the steering wheel which they had corrected. later that day, while driving, the airbag mil came on once again, not due to any accident or other event which could have caused a problem with the airbags. the dealership told me that this was a "normal" problem on this car and that i would have to return the car to them for an extended period of time for further diagnosis and repair. i am currently pursuing getting the car repaired by a different dealer. i am concerned, as i have heard of many airbag-related issues with aveos. i would not think that this is a "normal" problem on any type of vehicle. i am concerned about the overall quality and reliability of the supplemental restraint system on these vehicles. please note, "airbag mil" above should not be taken to mean the "passenger airbag off" indicator; the mil is the red light indicating a problem with the airbag system, not the orange light indicating its status. i would appreciate it if more data about this issue on aveos could be made available. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 32000 miles. Chevrolet Aveo 2006 Suspension Rear Springs Coil SpringsChevrolet Aveo 2006 Suspension Rear Springs Coil Springs Review #10217422 CHEVROLET AVEO 2006 car safety problem was reported on Feb 07, 2008.CHEVROLET AVEO 2006, manufactured by GENERAL MOTORS CORP. had a problem with SUSPENSION:REAR:SPRINGS:COIL SPRINGS . i have a2006 chevrolet aveo. i noticed that the left side of the vehicle was sagging. i took the vehicle to the local dealer since the vehicle has just under 26,000 miles on it and it is still under warranty. the dealer said that the springs on the left side had to be changed. within a week the springs were replaced. when i took the vehicle home , one mile from the dealer, i noticed the next day that the vehicle was still sagging. i contacted the dealer and he said to bring the vehicle back in. this was done. after a day, i contacted the dealer and was told that the vehicle was 1/4 inch lower on the left side then the right. i was also told that the dealer checked another 06 vehicle and an 08 vehicle that they had on the property and found that the were also sagging. then then contacted gm and were told that the vehicle was with in specks. i was given the number for gm and i made a call to them. after an hour on the phone and two different people, i was told that the vehicle was within specks and there was nothing they could do for me. i was also told that if a recall were to come up re: my complaint, they would contact me . i was also give a complaint #71600676168. if you were to look at my vehicle from the rear you would also see that the vehicle is sagging to the extent that the naked eye can see it. i may not an engineer but the naked i can see the sag. i do know that when a vehicle sages to one side or the other, you change the center of gravity. at this point i feel the vehicle is a hazard on the road and under certain conditions could cause an accident. i also can not believe that i am the only owner of this type of vehicle who has made a complaint to gm. if you can be of help to me in this matter, please feel free to contact me. i am also looking in to the lemon law to see if i have a case. by the way i like the car, i just want it fixed and hope this problem dose not cause a problem to any other owner's. thank you *tr .Mileage was 25976 miles. Chevrolet Aveo 2006 Electrical System Review #10592864 CHEVROLET AVEO 2006 car safety problem was reported on Apr 01, 2013.CHEVROLET AVEO 2006, manufactured by General Motors LLC had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM . have taken the car to chevrolet dealership multiple times and everytime the problem is "fixed" it happens again a few days or sometimes weeks later. first, the instrument panel cluster fuse kept blowing. seemed to happen when fuel gauge read 1/2 full. eventually, after many trips to dealership to fix it, it worked for three weeks and the fuse started blowing again. then, rpm gauge started moving erratically for about a week and then stopped working altogether. fortunately, this fixed the problem with the fuse blowing, but overtime, my temperature gauge did the same thing, and now my fuel gauge is starting to go. if i drive over 55 mph, sometimes the rpm and fuel gauge will move, but not accurately. when i did think that the problem was fixed for those three weeks, i had taken the car in for another problem. speedometer/instrument panel lights not working interior lights not working tail lights or brake lights not working all of this happened suddenly when i was driving at night. i checked online and found that the wiring design inside the splicer in the hood compartment fuse box was prone to failure (a lot of people have had this problem). i mentioned this at the dealership and sure enough that is where the problem was. they also said that my other electrical problems had to do with this as well. they fixed the problem, but then three weeks later, the initial problem with the instrument panel cluster fuse was back. i cannot afford to keep taking the car in for the same repair. i have researched online and found that many people have this problem with this car. it is incredibly dangerous to have a car that isn't electrically reliable. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 84000 miles. my 91 silverado will shift into gear on start up but after the trans warms up i have no gears at all My 89 Blazer suddenly accelerates, and I have to ride the brakes to keep it from "jumping" foward. This is causing my brakes to really squeal, and the mechanic is telling me that he cannot find the cause. I have actually put the car in drive, and Transmission shifts after i reach 3000-4000rpms and let off the gas 97 blazer Transmission shifts after i reach 3000-4000rpms and let off the gas my power steering pump is leaking. How do I know if I need a new powersteering pump in my 2003 tahoe, will the fuel light work even if the gas gauge is broken?
