Toyota Matrix 2010 Service Brakes, ElectricToyota Matrix 2010 Service Brakes, Electric Review #10311246 TOYOTA MATRIX 2010 car safety problem was reported on Dec 20, 2009.TOYOTA MATRIX 2010, manufactured by TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION had a problem with SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRIC . 2010 toyota matrix purchased brand new november of 2009 with only 5 miles reading on the odometer. although there has been no accident with this vehicle i am very concerned about two operational issues: steering on highways at highway speed and brakes not engaging. on straightaways this vehicle swerves back and forth. i am constantly having to correct its direction. we tried adjusting the tire inflation with no help. took it to the dealership who readjusted the tires back and said the vehicle was still within design specs. our newest attempt was to try extra weight in the back which is not helping either. the other big issue that has happened with this vehicle was 3 separate events i had to pump the brakes to before they would engage. the dealership could not reproduce the problem and questioned operator error. all manufacture specs again were within design limits. please note these issues were present and noted prior to all the recall notifications. we have tried to make things work but are now beginning to worry about the safety of this brand new vehicle. *tr.Mileage was 10 miles. Toyota Matrix 2010 Air BagsToyota Matrix 2010 Air Bags Review #10317345 TOYOTA MATRIX 2010 car safety problem was reported on July 30, 2009.TOYOTA MATRIX 2010, manufactured by TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION had a problem with AIR BAGS . in july 2009 i purchased a new 2010 toyota matrix from sunrise toyota in oakdale , new york. when shopping for my vehicle i was looking for one that had a drivers side knee airbag since i had recently had knee surgery and a chronic knee problem. when looking at the 2010 toyota matrix the window sticker (monroney) indicated that the car came equipped with a drivers side knee air bag as standard safety equipment. the sales person also reiterated that the car had this safety equipment. i purchased the vehicle. in january of 2010, nearly 6 months after i purchased the toyota matrix, i received a letter from toyota telling me that my car did not have a drivers side knee airbag and that the monroney window sticker was wrong. as of the date of this compliant, despite my complaining to the dealership and toyota, i have not received any additional information from either the dealer or toyota as to how they intend to resolve this issue since i was deceptively sold a vehicle under the pretense that it had a safety option that it in fact did not. my story was recently publicized in the media with an article in newsday reporting on this serious error that places the public at risk. *tr.Vehicle Identification Number (VIN):2T1KU4EE3AC. Toyota Matrix 2010 Service Brakes, HydraulicToyota Matrix 2010 Service Brakes, Hydraulic Review #10457946 TOYOTA MATRIX 2010 car safety problem was reported on Nov 15, 2011.TOYOTA MATRIX 2010, manufactured by TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION had a problem with SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC . brake pedal suddenly felt soft as if there was air in the brake line. brake only worked when you pumped fast. otherwise the pedal would go down to the floor. i took the car to the dealership, they verified the complaint, and fixed the problem for free. they replaced the master cylinder and fluid. brakes were fine until 3 weeks ago, april 23, 2012. exactly the same happened, thank goodness as i was driving slowly. took the car back in and they acknowledged the problem. they concluded it was a faulty part. they replaced the master cylinder again (covered by warranty) and the brakes were fine again. then today, may 9, 2012, the brakes failed again, exactly the same problem, thank god no accident. my car is in the shop again so i don't know yet what their conclusion is. the scary thing here is that this is the third time the brakes failed within 6 months. have you had complaints like this before? has there been a recall? i appreciate your consideration and look forward to your response. got a 99 solara with abs light on trac off light on any clues to what could be problem,seems like a common problem '88 toyota camry i want to know if my car has the proper hooks required by law for a baby car seat? I have a 2006 Rav 4 also with the same problem. The lights were intermittant and usually if it was cold or if I turned the corner hard the lights would come on. The car has 50,000 miles and I check the brakes pads they have about 5 to 6 K left.
