I was on park and engine running suddenly without pressing gas pedal the engine started to increase to 3000 rpm on idle speed it should be on 1000 rpm.. why does it go to 3000 rpm without pressing the accelerator pedal there is a burnt wire smell coming from near the gas tank area. It starting happening a few days ago. And now the check engine light has also appeared on. The smell only comes after running the car for long periods like 1hour. Anyone know where I My 2011 Kia Sedona started to accelerate wth my foot on the brake 3 times now. I shifted into neutral and turned off the key. I was in a parking lot on all three occations.
