Cadillac Srx 2010 Service Brakes, HydraulicCadillac Srx 2010 Service Brakes, Hydraulic Review #10326992 CADILLAC SRX 2010 car safety problem was reported on Mar 21, 2010.CADILLAC SRX 2010, manufactured by GENERAL MOTORS CORP. had a problem with SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC . information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6) to whom it might concern: i'm a big fan of cadillac cars. i purchased a brand new 2010 cadillac srx in december 2010 from crest cars (cadillac authorized dealer) and the car has been running good, except for the brake. the brake makes lots of unacceptable grinding and rattle noise immediately whenever i start to release the brake or apply it partially. here's how to duplicate the noise: - if the car stops, release the brake gradually. the grinding noise appears very loud, especially when the car is in a slope slightly downward. - if the car is moving, apply the brake to stop it. about less than one second before the car goes to a complete stop, the grinding noise re-appears. i contacted crest car (the dealer where i purchased the car) and have them take a look to fix it. after about 2 days, they returned the car to me, saying that they "cannot do anything about the noise". here are some important information i received from dealer: - the service advisor agreed with me that the problem with the brake is valid. - the service advisor agreed that they cannot do anything to stop the noise with the brake - the technician stated in the paperwork that the noise from the brake also comes from other 2010 srx crossover. service advisor refused to honor warranty because they are unable to fix the noise. the car is only 3-4 months old and under full warranty. whenever i apply the brake, i try to press harder than i should have. to overcome the noise, whenever i try to release the break, i try to release completely instead of gradually releasing it. since the brake affects my habit of controlling the car, it is considered a serious safety issue with the car. Cadillac Srx 2010 Exterior LightingCadillac Srx 2010 Exterior Lighting Review #10653093 CADILLAC SRX 2010 car safety problem was reported on Nov 06, 2014.CADILLAC SRX 2010, manufactured by General Motors LLC had a problem with EXTERIOR LIGHTING . passenger headlight (sealed beam) failed to turn on 2 days ago. i assumed it was a bulb, but the dealer identified it as a short due to water and condensation accumulation inside the housing. the light did come back on for a short time while driving to the dealership, but was off again upon arrival. dealer stated the other light would be affected soon as well, based on water inside it too. i have the highest level extended warranty plan (gm major guard), but the sealed beam headlights are excluded from this plan. dealer quoted cost of $1,800 per light, total of $3,600 to repair. this is a design flaw, based on numerous cadillac complaints as well as notes found on nhtsa. in it's current state, the vehicle is not driveable in low visibility conditions or at night because the headlights have failed due to a design flaw. dealer will not repair under warranty, and without repair the vehicle will not even pass a state safety inspection. this is a recall worthy fault which could lead to loss of life if fault occurs in low visibility or night driving, and renders the vehicle unsafe as it will not pass state safety inspection. please force gm to issue recall on this issue. i am currently trying to figure out how to pay almost $4,000 on my $56k vehicle to get it driveable again, when it's under the premiere warranty plan. this policy is unsatisfactory at best. .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 79000 miles. Cadillac Srx 2010 Exterior LightingCadillac Srx 2010 Exterior Lighting Review #10668947 CADILLAC SRX 2010 car safety problem was reported on Dec 23, 2014.CADILLAC SRX 2010, manufactured by General Motors LLC had a problem with EXTERIOR LIGHTING . there was an error message in my display to check passenger low beam. i had the passenger headlamp replaced at a cadillac dealership at a cost of $369.00. i left the dealership and drove to my destination during the daylight hours. when i left my destination it had gotten dark and while driving the headlamp stopped working. i have since found out that the seal on the headlamp is no good therefore allowing moisture to develop inside the headlamp which causes the problem. i have found through research that this appears to be a design flaw with this model and many people have had loss of headlights at times when it would pose a safety issue. the repair is very costly (approximately $1400 per headlamp). there is moisture in the drivers side headlamp as well so it stands to reason that it is just a matter of time before that lamp stops working. i only have 73,000 miles on the car and without spending $3000 to rectify the problem, i could find myself with no lights while driving at night. this is in my opinion most definitely a potential safety issue! .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 73000 miles. removed radio face,now the radio want cut off at the proper time. Cad. 2003 cts I have a 2002 cadillac deville, the air bag light is staying on and the dash says to service airbag every now and then it will shut off for a second then it will come back on. I had a tech 2 scanner hooked to it and when trying to read under sir s talked to a caddilac tech he said if not in coolant or leaking make sure you check it after driving it 30miles check owners manual on hw to chk it properly i have been checking it cold which can give faulse readings even tho you can chk a trans co when on other than very smooth road loud clunks and noise from rear suspension. Checked spare tire and made sure it was good and tight. I had a 2004 srx and never had this problem. Car only has 15,000 mileson it. Just bought it several months ago. 2010 SRX CADILLAC HEAD LIGHTS FELL OUT OF ADJUSTMENT,NOT UNDER WARRANTY I have an 08 escalade with a lot of problems. To start i have replaced all four door handles because they have all broken off. The clear coat paint is peeling off around all four handles as well. I have gotten a deadbattery once a month for a few 2001 sls shakes a lil at 60 mph and over could there be a tire balance issue i hear a hum sound in the rear cant understand what the problem may be help me plz I have a 2001 cadillac catera. I love my car but i dont love the problems. Right now the S light is flashing.
