2001 Volvo S60, I have 120,XXX miles on it and the engine is idling sporadically...replaced battery and altenator thinking that those were the only things bad. Drove a quarter of a mile then the RPM's dipped below 500 and the car died. It has been I have Volvo S80 2010 and the fan revs after the car has been shut off. Usually after mountain driving. If I restart the engine it usually stops immediately. Leads me to believe that it's an electrical glitch not a high engine temperature problem. Volvo v70 2006 75,000. No previous indication of problem. Drove 20 miles, disengaged cruise control. Lost power, tried to accelerate. NO problem indicated on dash or check engine light illuminated. Smoke trailing auto. Pulled on to when starting engine, rough to start, check engine light came on today as well and when car is shut off the engine fan runs for 2-3 minutes. Ran fault codes in diagnostic unit in the engine (front right side) and signals suggested a faulty fuel check engine light isnt going on when i start it, thus failing the visual on smog check. tried reset codes? how do i get to the bulb?
