I have Volvo S80 2010 and the fan revs after the car ...

I have Volvo S80 2010 and the fan revs after the car has been shut off. Usually after mountain driving. If I restart the engine it usually stops immediately. Leads me to believe that it's an electrical glitch not a high engine temperature problem. Anyone got any ideas or experience with this?

Our 2001 S80 2.9 has twice lost all battery power to the car, just after turning off the ignition key. The time between occurrence is within 2 weeks.  It has dumped the time on the clock, no power to anything, as if the battery had been removed.
