2005 Escape hybrid. 73K miles. normal city driving....

2005 Escape hybrid. 73K miles. normal city driving...master cylinder failure on the freeway yesterday. Felt like ABS problem but then pedal got hard...coasted to a stop. turned off engine. Restarted and then brakes worked again. The dealer says I need a new master cylinder (part cost $750+) all in about $1350 to get repaired with labor.

I have a 2012 Ford Escape Hybrid Limited. The rear left passenger seat belt would not loosen after attempting to remove our child from her car seat. It had retracted and locked the belt so tightly, that we couldnt unlatch the belt from the buckle.
