PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER 1985 Electrical System Report #10443241

PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER 1985 car safety problem was reported on July 16, 2003.PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER 1985, manufactured by CHRYSLER GROUP LLC had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM . I EXPERIENCED A POWER LOSS AND SUBSEQUENT SHUT OFF OF THE VEHICLE AND UPON OPENING THE HOOD REALIZED THAT THE WIRING HARNESS HAD MELTED AT A WIRING JUNCTION DRIVERS SIDE UNDER THE HOOD AT THE FIRE WALL. SOMETHING LIKE 30PAIRS OF WIRES ARE THERE. COVERED IN A CABLE JACKET. SMOKE WAS EVIDENT BUT NO FIRE. I REPAIRED THE PROBLEM AND IT OCCURRED AGAIN. AS NEAR AS I CAN FIGURE IT OUT TODAY IT SEEMS THAT THERE IS A LOT OF ELECTRICITY CAUSING HIGH AMPS AND HEAT, YET NO FUSES WERE BLOWN. A COUPLE OF YEARS LATER I CAME ACROSS A MINI VAN SIMILAR IN AGE AND STYLE OF MINE. ON FIRE, BURNING ON THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD OF AN INTERSTATE. AT THAT POINT I KNEW I COULD NOT DO ANYTHING WITH MY VAN. I CAN NOT MORALLY SELL THIS DEATH TRAP. IF THE NHTSB WOULD LIKE IT THEY CAN CONTACT ME TO GET IT. I CAN NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS THING TO CATCH FIRE AND KILL SOME ONE. THESE MUST BE DESTROYED. *TR.Mileage was 50000 miles. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN):2P4FH51G0FR. Plymouth Grand Voyager 1985 problem was reported in DES MOINES, IA. Vehicle was not using ANTI-LOCK BRAKES. Vehicle was not using Cruise Control. Vehicle had 4 CYLINDERS. FUEL TYPE: GAS. where is the speed sensor on a plymouth aclame

where on the 1998 plymouth voyager se would i find the rear defrost wiring.

transmission is controlled by electric servos, not line pressure. Servo package may be bad (silver box on trans case) or your fluid is low, or your transmission filter is clogged. Filter and fluid are under 20 bucks. Servo pack is much more.

You cannot bleed brakes through an ABS system. You have to get it professionally done with the proper tools.

The spark is controlled by 2 sensors, crank and camshaft. Either not working will cause a no spark situation. The camshaft sensor is the main sensor, but if the crank sensor doesnt "see" crankshaft rotation, it assumes the car has been turned off

You dont. The pump is under the pulley cover on both 4 and 6 motors, and the cover is around the motor mount. You also need to remove the crank hub to get the cover off, and that involves a crankshaft pulley puller, removing the inner fenderwell o
