The spark is controlled by 2 sensors, crank and camshaft. Either not working will cause a no spark situation. The camshaft sensor is the main sensor, but if the crank sensor doesnt "see" crankshaft rotation, it assumes the car has been turned off and stops most PCM functions. Both sensors are less than 30 bucks each and can be replaced with a 10mm wrench. 4 bolts for the cam sensor on end of 4 cyl head and 1 bolt for the crankshaft sensor on back of block above oil pan rail.
