Hyundai Tiburon 2001 Air Bags Frontal Review #10007886 HYUNDAI TIBURON 2001 car safety problem was reported on Aug 25, 2002.HYUNDAI TIBURON 2001, manufactured by Hyundai Motor Company had a problem with AIR BAGS:FRONTAL . on august 25f 2002 my fiance' was driving my 2001 hyundai tiburon which i had purchased new in february of 2002. he was cut off by a person driving a chevy blazer. the entire front end of the tiburon struck the truck in the rear passenger's side door. my fiance' was driving approximatly 30-35 miles an hour at impact. the tiburon incurred just under $6000 in damages including replacing the transmission because the force of the impact cracked the transmission case. i am filing this complaint because even though there was a significant impact, the airbags in the tiburon never inflated. the impact was strong enough that my fiance sustained injury to his forehead and chest when they struck the steering wheel and the windshield. i feel that his injuries would have been prevented by the airbag deploying. i contacted hyundai asking them to do an investigation and was refused twice. .Vehicle was involved in a crash. 1 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 6400 miles. Hyundai Tiburon 2001 VisibilityHyundai Tiburon 2001 Visibility Review #10071116 HYUNDAI TIBURON 2001 car safety problem was reported on Oct 15, 2003.HYUNDAI TIBURON 2001, manufactured by Hyundai Motor Company had a problem with VISIBILITY . i have had problems with my tiburon since i got the car most of the things have been covered by warranty. november 17 2001 the car had 2486 miles on it the alarm started going off while i was driving down the highway. i got it turned off about 20 minutes later and for the next two days the alarm kept going off for no reason. nov 20 i couldn?t get it to turn off at all so i took it to the dealership. the said a wire shorted out and fixed it at no cost to me. in december of 2002 the drivers side door started sticking and one day i came out of work and it wouldn?t open at all i took it in to the dealer they said the door was falling off and that they replaced a latch at no cost to me. the car was at 17642 miles at this time. the day before my appt for the door i was driving and all the sudden the radio just went off and wouldn?t come on. they had to replace the radio also at no cost to me. january of 03 was when the big problem started with the engine the car wouldn?t start i had it towed to hyundai they said there was carbon build up on the engine. they cleaned it and gave it back they didn?t find the cause and didn?t explain anything else to me. but at that time the car only had 18704 miles on it. since then the car has had problems starting i?ve taken it back to the dealer a few times the car died on the road and the check engine light came on i had it towed in they said it was just the spark plugs battery was fine and that the car was due for a tune up which cost me $282.12 the car was at 27666 miles they also replaced the oxygen sensor that day {11/9/03} at no cost to me. i got the car back {28909 miles}. it still won?t run right and had a hard time starting. i took the car back on 10/21/03. they said that the battery had a bad cell. i didn?t want to pay them for anything but the tech there said if i didn?t they couldn?t look at the car anymore until they ruled out the battery being the problem so i spent $58.37 on a battery..Mileage was 0 miles. I also own and drive a Hyundai. thanks Bill Finn I had a problem with stability control in a 2010 AWD hyundai Tuscon in windy conditions. I was driving on a straight stretch of road in New Mexico and with gusts of wind the car tilted onto the 2 right wheels. I was so shaken I pulled off the 2010 Santa Fe Limited alternator failed within 2000 km of new. Are there any service bulletins out on this? I have a 2006 Sonata 2.4 which frequently fails to start on first attempt and appears to be getting more frequent. In addition the fule consumption averages about 13 l/100km. Low revs are sometimes uneven and 1st gear pull off shudder is frequentl hyundai 3500 generator ,no gas going to sparkplug sounds like clutch, i believe you need to change it!
