Honda Accord 2014 Seats Review #10554291 HONDA ACCORD 2014 car safety problem was reported on Nov 16, 2013.HONDA ACCORD 2014, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with SEATS . got the car brand new from the dealership after a brief test drive. after the second time driving the car for a short trip, i began feeling severe pain in my neck/upper back area and felt the same discomfort every time i drove the car thereafter. the seat base is too deep not providing enough support to my spine and also the seat back is pushing my body forward causing me to round my neck and shoulders forward. in addition, my head cannot even make contact with the head rest unless i tilt the head back which is not a neutral position. i've tried multiple adjustments including buying expensive seat supports but nothing seems to help; the seat just seems to be poorly designed. i am at the point where i am willing to return/trade-in the vehicle for another at a loss because i do not want to sacrifice my health. prior to this, i drove a 2000 honda accord and this issue never occurred. i hope you can investigate so honda can take action to resolve. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 50 miles. Honda Accord 2014 SeatsHonda Accord 2014 Seats Review #10561089 HONDA ACCORD 2014 car safety problem was reported on Jan 04, 2014.HONDA ACCORD 2014, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with SEATS . purchased a new 2014 honda accord ex from the dealership. after a couple of weeks, i've experienced moderate to severe pain in my neck, upper back area and shoulders. i've felt discomfort even on my daily work commute of 15 minutes one way. the pain is more severe after driving for 40 min. i see my chiropractor more often now. i noticed the headrest is curved forward at an extreme angle, pushing my head forward, putting stress on my neck. my upper back and shoulders feels strained - regardless of the height of the headrest. the headrest was the cause of my pain. i am 4'11 and sit up straight. i've tried multiple seat adjustment and bought neck supports but nothing has helped. i resorted to putting my headrest backwards to provide relief. i've mentioned this to a salesperson and the parts dept. at the dealership. both of them said honda does not have any replacement and the headrest was designed to comply with federal regulations. prior to this, i drove a 99 honda accord ex and this issue never occurred. i've tried putting the headrest from my 99 accord into the 2014 but it won't fit due to different center-to-center post measurements. even the backseat headrests from the 2014 will not fit in the driver?s seat. i had pictures taken of me sitting in my 99 accord and the 2014 accord. in the ?99 accord, my neck, upper back and shoulder rest comfortably against the seat and headrest. in the 2014, there is a gap between my neck, upper back and shoulder from the seat with the upper portion of my head pushed forward from the headrest. please investigate so honda can take action to provide a replacement or make it a recall issue. this needs to be corrected for health, comfort and safety's sake! *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 800 miles. Honda Accord 2014 Visibility/wiperHonda Accord 2014 Visibility/wiper Review #10565766 HONDA ACCORD 2014 car safety problem was reported on Feb 19, 2014.HONDA ACCORD 2014, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with VISIBILITY/WIPER . second day i had the vehicle i was driving at night and had no issues on the highway but turning onto a rural highway with no lights i found that the visibility thru the windshield was relegated to the bottom third. the rest of the windshield appeared dark and almost impossible to see thru. i contacted the dealer and returned the vehicle and was told that what i encountered was normal because honda uses a look down headlight system, in fact the service manager said his wife only drove with the brites on in dark areas because she could not see thru the windshield. i said this was unacceptable and the service manager said he could try to mitigate the effects by raising the headlight adjustment, but he warned me that at some point the headlights might blind oncoming traffic. he raised the level of the lights and i then inspected the results later that night. i found that i had almost half of the windshield clear and the rest was shaded very dark. i believe that this is a safety defect in this vehicle and i have asked the dealer to make repairs. so far there seems to be no repair available. i drive a lot on these back roads and i hope i will not have an accident because of this defect. *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 51 miles. Honda Accord 2014 Power TrainHonda Accord 2014 Power Train Review #10567511 HONDA ACCORD 2014 car safety problem was reported on Nov 08, 2013.HONDA ACCORD 2014, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with POWER TRAIN . very annoying rumbling/vibration that occurs in the 1700-2000 rpm range when the variable cylinder management engages. the severe imbalance of running on only 3 cylinders transmits a distracting rumbling/roaring vibration into the cockpit of the car. when i originally test drove the car, i did so in stop-in-go traffic and also briefly on the interstate, and did not detect this phenomenon until i had purchased the vehicle. after experiencing this vibration, i wrote a detailed letter to the president of american honda regarding my unhappiness. a colleague of his, named [xxx], contacted me but offered no help. she acknowledged receiving my letter and said that it would go on file. i asked if it were possible to disengage the variable management system, but [xxx] said that honda does not recommend that. i asked if american honda would allow me to swap by new 2014 honda accord ex-l v6 for a 4-cylinder ex-l, but [xxx] said that would have to be between my dealer and me. i will never purchase a honda v6 again as long as it has any form of variable cylinder management (vcm). i feel that it is important to go on record regarding this matter. i have been a loyal honda owner for the last 30+ years and have owned 5 new honda vehicles over that period of time. information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u.s.c. 552(b)(6). *tr.0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 85 miles. Honda Accord 2014 Vehicle Speed ControlHonda Accord 2014 Vehicle Speed Control Review #10573284 HONDA ACCORD 2014 car safety problem was reported on Jan 31, 2014.HONDA ACCORD 2014, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL . i purchased new 2014 honda accord on 1/27/14 with 34 miles. on 1/31/14 with only 117 miles, i was attempting to park, perhaps 2 mph when all of the sudden, the car lunged forward on it's own with great force. i was appx 5 feet away from stopping when suddenly the airbag deployed, the car lunged, hit the concrete stop, jumped over and stopped only by steel cables.this occurred on the 4th floor (spiral parking) . if the cable system were not in place, i would have ended up landing on the top of the cars parked on the 3rd floor. this entire incident occurred in 2 seconds or less. i was completely straight in line having turned right from the central aisle, about 5 feet from the concrete block, traveling no more than 2 mph. with no warning, the car lunged forward, airbag deployed and sent the car into the cables. i received a burn to my right hand from the airbag and was completely and utterly in shock. i have an exemplary driving history for 44 years and have never had anything so traumatizing occur ever. as i stated, this occurred so quickly as i was only 1-2 seconds from turning the engine off. in reporting this accident to honda, they recommended having it towed to seidner's with whom they partner with. they completed the repairs on 3/1/14.the damage was extensive, $11,600 to the front end, hood, etc. the car was at the collision center until 3/1/14. because of the claim i opened with honda, they inspected the car 3/10/14, however only made a hand-written note that they test drove it for 48 miles, noting "no defects in mechanical inspection, no repairs recommended." i am utterly terrified that this could occur again. please, can you direct me as to what i can do to ensure that this never recurs. *tr.Vehicle was involved in a crash. 1 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 117 miles. Honda Accord 2014 Electrical SystemHonda Accord 2014 Electrical System Review #10573284 HONDA ACCORD 2014 car safety problem was reported on Jan 31, 2014.HONDA ACCORD 2014, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM . i purchased new 2014 honda accord on 1/27/14 with 34 miles. on 1/31/14 with only 117 miles, i was attempting to park, perhaps 2 mph when all of the sudden, the car lunged forward on it's own with great force. i was appx 5 feet away from stopping when suddenly the airbag deployed, the car lunged, hit the concrete stop, jumped over and stopped only by steel cables.this occurred on the 4th floor (spiral parking) . if the cable system were not in place, i would have ended up landing on the top of the cars parked on the 3rd floor. this entire incident occurred in 2 seconds or less. i was completely straight in line having turned right from the central aisle, about 5 feet from the concrete block, traveling no more than 2 mph. with no warning, the car lunged forward, airbag deployed and sent the car into the cables. i received a burn to my right hand from the airbag and was completely and utterly in shock. i have an exemplary driving history for 44 years and have never had anything so traumatizing occur ever. as i stated, this occurred so quickly as i was only 1-2 seconds from turning the engine off. in reporting this accident to honda, they recommended having it towed to seidner's with whom they partner with. they completed the repairs on 3/1/14.the damage was extensive, $11,600 to the front end, hood, etc. the car was at the collision center until 3/1/14. because of the claim i opened with honda, they inspected the car 3/10/14, however only made a hand-written note that they test drove it for 48 miles, noting "no defects in mechanical inspection, no repairs recommended." i am utterly terrified that this could occur again. please, can you direct me as to what i can do to ensure that this never recurs. *tr.Vehicle was involved in a crash. 1 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 117 miles. Honda Accord 2014 Vehicle Speed ControlHonda Accord 2014 Vehicle Speed Control Review #10643642 HONDA ACCORD 2014 car safety problem was reported on Aug 07, 2014.HONDA ACCORD 2014, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL . when a car has air bags you never know if they work unless you have a crash. with fcw, if you drive safely the alarm should never go off. with our car the fcw alarm rarely sounds but sometimes it will if you were going about 25 mph or less and a car close ahead would be stopping or turning right. most times our fcw would not sound but sometimes you got false signals and you wondered why. after two dealer visits and one for 3 1/2 days there has been no change except now we do not get false signals. the honda literature says of fcw "..can sense the presence of vehicles in front of you and issues alerts if it calculates you are at risk of a collision.." that is why we bought the car and what we expect. after the second dealer visit and there was no change, the dealer service manager and i drove our vehicle and at times dangerously close to a vehicle ahead including large trucks and the fcw alarm did not sound. we tried a very similar new car off the lot like mine and drove it the same way. the fcw did not work as expected. per a sheet the dealer gave me for fcw, it states that it uses radar with a range of up to 393 ft. if a car is going up to 75 mph with a car length (20') for every 10 mph fcw should sound the alarm up to 150' and going faster than the car ahead. ours will not do that at any speed below 75 and getting too close going faster than the one ahead until going about 25 or under then not always. i say our fcw does not work. when discussing this with the dealer and a factory rep the service manager now says "it is your perception fcw does not work." i say fcw does not work consistently and at higher speeds and buyers are being deceived. with self driving cars and acc is should be possible for honda to fix or replace our fcw so that it does work and purported. there should be a recall to warn others and fix it. i welcome inspectors to test our fcw system. .0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 5234 miles. Honda Accord 2014 SeatsHonda Accord 2014 Seats Review #10662071 HONDA ACCORD 2014 car safety problem was reported on Nov 28, 2013.HONDA ACCORD 2014, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with SEATS . dear sir or madam, i would like to lodge a complaint against the current headrests in the 2014 honda accord (and many similar sedans.) i am 5 foot 3 and can't sit in the seat for more than 10 minutes without experiencing neck pain. the headrest angle is too far forward and does not align with my spine. it pushes my head forward. it becomes very painful over time, and no seat adjustment can make it better. honda and other ar companies tell me that the nhtsa requires that the install headrests at this angle to achieve the highest safety rating. but what good is that if the driver and passengers are in pain? i realize that this angle may work for people taller than me, but there are a lot of people between 5 feet and 5'5 and the car companies need the ability to make adjustable headrests, or selectable headrests without jeopardizing their safety ratings. please do something to help suffering drivers like me. (my only options are to remove the headrest altogether, or turn it backwards, which surely is not safe.) i tried ten cars before buying the honda accord. all the other headrests were even worse! Honda Accord 2014 Electrical SystemHonda Accord 2014 Electrical System Review #10664301 HONDA ACCORD 2014 car safety problem was reported on Mar 03, 2014.HONDA ACCORD 2014, manufactured by Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) had a problem with ELECTRICAL SYSTEM . i bought my 2014 honda civic exl new in feb 2014, and ever since new the tpms light has been turning on, even though the vehicle has been updated several times with the latest software at the purchasing dealership. each time after the vehicle was serviced, the lights came back on. the tpms light comes on at different intervals, at different speeds and over different types of roadways. i then contacted honda america to resister a case number with them. honda america instructed me to have my vehicle serviced again by the original dealership, overnight, so their technicians can work in concert with the dealerships technicians. whatever they did, did not correct the situation as the light came on again within a week. honda america then had me bring my vehicle to a different dealership, again overnight. once again the light came on within a week. honda america now tells me, after 10 months of ownership and numerous attempts to remedy this issue, there is nothing they can do to remedy the malfunctioning tpms system in my vehicle..0 person(s) were injured. 0 person(s) died.Mileage was 1000 miles. My 94 GL 1500 sends off a vibration when you let off the gas...traveling at 80-90 +mph or so it will rumble until you slow to about 60 mph ....a little scary, it makes me think its going to lock up...I had a previous 94 gl that did the same thing my 2003 Honda Accord started with replacing power steering pump then power steering hose{recall} now I have a leaking power steering rack seems all connected to me should be a recall for the rack also? Is it possbile for wheel cyclinder to be leaking after only 20,000 miles on a 2003 Civic Honda? 2005 Honda CRV - Front struts noisy over small bumps in road Since new problems have included pull to the right, grinding noise from rear diff, crack in windhshield all across the bottom of the glass from side to side no chipping just a long horizontal crack just above the dash line. Front struts make a hug the check engine light is staying on on my cbr1000rr 06. do you have to adjust the valves and fuel when you remove baffles from a 1995 honda 750 magna????
