I have 2005 Toyota Sienna CE An year after i purchased the vehicle i am driving this car with unique
Problem. when i hit the brake transmission does not disconnect as it should i still feel that car is pushing it self to go forward and when i hit the brake it feel like i have one foot on the brake and one foot on the accelerator I pursue this problem with dealer and spend large amount of money on the car Since there was not check engine light we did many thing based on doubts ( Air Flow Sensor, Catalyst Converter, Oxygen Sensor, Throttle Body, Brake Booster, Master Cylinder, Brake Switch, Finally He Suggested Change The Transmission I did all these thing but the problem is still there nobody seems to be understanding problem then i just trained my self to drive just like that after one and half year check engine light came on And the computer code shows Speed Sensor A I bought new speed sensor then after one day same check engine Light again Speed Sensor A, my mechanic exhausted every method to fix this problem could not do it finally he thought it might be short circuit some were let's change wiring horniest after doing that he got rid of the check engine light but symptom of the car remain the same any way i keep driving like that last week 02/01/2011 i was driving on the highway all of the sodden Transmission is not responding to accelerator as i hit gas engine race but transmission is not engaging and check engine light came on same code Speed Sensor A, My machine have the same computer that dealer use it shows that transmission is ok another proof of that is at our last time diagnostic problem My Machine actually drop the transmission put another transmission from same another and the problem did not go away so this make me believe that the transmission is good and the problem is some were else that even the dealer is not able to sort out this problem I went to two different dealer both of them said oh i don't see any problem they said that because they don't see check engine light and i am still driving with same problem. i am planing to make another appointment with dealer because this time i do have check Engine light which is on and off on day is there another it disappear. My feeling is that it is the computer that is causing this problem either transmission control unit or ECM which is Engine Control Unit. If this problem ever get solved i will keep you posted.
