We have leased a 2011 Toyota Highlander about 7 weeks ago. Overall our experience is fine but the seat belt in its resting position by the seat is really a concern. I mean when you get in the car and put on your seat belt; it's a BIG struggle.
Front seat belts gets stuck between the seat and the car's frame (between front and rear door). To get it out of there you either have to scratch the door side or turn backwards and get it nicely and when you think about how often you have to do this, it's not very practical. I've never had this problem with any other cars that I drove before. Actually I like the Highlander but just to think about putting seatbelt makes me not to drive the car and not putting the seatbelt is not an option.
In the end I'd like to express my disappointment in this poor design
