My problem is my '99 Millenia won't turn all the way off,...

My problem is my '99 Millenia won't turn all the way off, it stops at Accelerate. I'm thinking it's because my gear shift is messed up. I just want to know a way I can go about fixing it. Because i can't seem to find somebody to help me with this problem!
