LEXUS ES 300 2002- This morning my seat belt failed to latch....

LEXUS ES 300 2002- This morning my seat belt failed to latch. The plastic retractor is embedded in the receptacle itself. I drove to work latching my seatbelt to the passenger side, is there a problem with teh 2002 model that I shoudl be concerned about. I am taking the car to teh dealership in the afternoon.
