Toyota Prius Service Brakes Safety Report | Sept 17, 2013
Reported on Sept 17, 2013
THIS HAPPENED MORE THEN ONCE, ALL PRETTY MUCH THE SAME WAY. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, APPLYING THE BRAKES COMING TO A STOP AND TRAVELING OVER A ROUGH ROAD THE BRAKES FEEL LIKE THEY RELEASE AND THE VEHICLE DOES NOT STOP. AFTER THE VEHICLE PASSES THE ROUGH ARE I HAVE TO RELEASE THE BRAKES AND REAPPLY PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDDLE FOR THE VEHICLE BRAKES TO REENGAGE AND STOP THE FORWARD MOMENTUM. LAST MONTH WHEN I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO DEALER IN OLYMPIA WA, I ASKED THEM TO CHECK FOR ANY RECALLS AND MAKE A NOTE OF THE ISSUE. THIS ISSUE HAS ALMOST CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. | |
