TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 PONTIAC VIBE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE TORQUE CONVERTER, PCM AND VALVE BODY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO THEN STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHO DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. UPDATED 11/14/12*LJ THE CONSUMER STATED THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED ON RECALL BUT, THE FAILURE CONTINUED.
