Pontiac Sunfire Wheels Safety Report | June 24, 1999

Reported on June 24, 1999

HIT A BRICK IN THE ROAD AT 30 MPH AND BENT WHEEL SEVERLY. THE CENTER OF THE WHEEL IS WELDED TO CLOSE TO THE OUTSIDE. IT HAS NO SUPPORT ON THE INSIDE TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING, AND CAUSING A TIRE TO BLOW OUT AND POSSIBLY CAUSING A WRECK. THE WHEEL IS VERY POORLY MADE. *AK
