Pontiac Solstice Seats Safety Report | May 28, 2008
Reported on May 28, 2008
THE DRIVER SEAT HAS EXCESSIVE MOVEMENT. WHEN DRIVING IT FEELS AS THOUGH YOU ARE NOT IN FULL CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AS THE CONSTANT CHANGING OF POSITION DURING BREAKING AND TURNING. AFTER BRINGING THIS DEFECT TO THE DEALERSHIP THEY ATTEMPTED TO SECURE THE SEAT WITH NO IMPROVEMENT. AFTER CHECKING THE STABILITY OF THE DRIVER SEAT ON NEW STOCK CARS IN THE SHOWROOM, THEY WERE ALL LOOSE, AND IN ONE CASE THE SEAT MOVED UP AND DOWN AND BACK TO FRONT WORSE THAN MINE. I WAS INFORMED THAT THIS IS NORMAL AND NOT CONSIDERED A WARRANTY ITEM GIVEN THE COMPARISON TO NEW VEHICLES. HAVING SEEN THIS PROBLEM ON OTHER NEW VEHICLES IT'S EVIDENT THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS DEFECT. DRIVING THAT CAR WITH THE SEAT MOVING AS IT DOES CREATES NAUSEA AND MOTION SICKNESS. *TR | |
