Pontiac Solstice Air Bags Safety Report | Sept 01, 2011

Reported on Sept 01, 2011

SERVICE AIR BAG WARNING COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY WHILE DRIVING. HAVE TAKEN CAR TO FOUR GM DEALER SERVICE DEPARTMENTS. ALL TOLD ME THAT ATTEMPTING TO DIAGNOSE IS FUTILE BECAUSE THERE ARE NO FAULT CODES STORED IN THE CAR'S COMPUTER (OTHER THAN A GENERAL 0013 INDICATING DRIVER'S AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT LOOP). ONLY WHEN THE SERVICE AIR BAG WARNING IS DISPLAYED WILL THERE BE A FAULT CODE DETAILING THE CIRCUIT INVOLVED. ALL SERVICE MANAGERS HAVE TOLD ME THAT THE CAR IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE BECAUSE THE DRIVER'S AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY WHEN THE SERVICE AIR BAG WARNING IS ON.
