Pontiac Gto Suspension Front Macpherson Strut Safety Report | July 01, 2006

Reported on July 01, 2006

WITHIN A DAY OR TWO AFTER TAKING DELIVERY, I NOTICED FLUID LEAKING FROM NEAR THE FRONT (DRIVERS SIDE) TIRE. DEALER SERVICE CONFIRMED THE LEAK IS COMING FROM THE STRUT AND THAT THE PART WOULD BE REPLACED. PART HAD TO BE ORDERED AND I WAS TOLD IT WAS OK TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE UNTIL PART COULD BE REPLACED. OIL IS NOW ON MY GARAGE FLOOR AND THE CAR DOES NOT HANDLE AS WELL AS IT SHOULD. THERE HAVE BEEN MANY REPORTS OF A SIMILAR NATURE REGARDING FAILED/LEAKING STRUTS WITH THE GTO. I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN ON ANY VEHICLE I'VE EVER OWNED. *NM
