Pontiac Grand Prix Visibility Power Window Devices And Controls Safety Report | Sept 14, 1998

Reported on Sept 14, 1998

I'VE HAD THE DRIVER SIDE POWER WINDOW MOTOR BREAK 3 TIMES NOW. ORIGINALLY IT HAPPENED IN SEPTEMBER 98. ONCE THEY REPLACED THE MOTOR IT BROKE AGAIN WITHIN A WEEK. NOW IN DECEMBER 2000 THE MOTOR HAS DIED AGAIN (AND OF COURSE IT IS NOW OUT OF WARRANTY). I'VE SEEN OTHER PEOPLE LIST THE SAME PROBLEM IN THE COMPLAINTS DATABASE AND ON WWW.GRANDPRIX.NET IT IS A GRAND PRIX OWNERS GROUP WEB PAGE WITH LISTED PROBLEM. I REALLY BELIEVE THEY HAVE A DEFECTIVE PART IN THE POWER WINDOW MOTORS. I'VE NEVER HAD A POWER WINDOW MOTOR BREAK ON ANY OTHER CAR I'VE OWNED.
