Pontiac Grand Prix Tires Tread/belt Safety Report | Sept 15, 2006

Reported on Sept 15, 2006

OEM BF GOODRICH COMP T/A TIRES. 225/55/R17 2004 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX GTP COMP/G ~23,000 MILES. TREAD DEPTH EVEN ACROSS ALL FOUR TIRES AT 7/32 OF AN INCH. ALL FOUR TIRES DEVELOPED A CONTINUOUS CRACK IN THE SIDEWALL. DEALERSHIP IS REPLACING ALL FOUR UNDER GM/PONTIAC WARRANTY WITH BF GOODRICH G-FORCE MODEL. I BELIEVE THIS IS ONE OF THE SIGNS OF TREAD SEPARATION, WHICH CAN LEAD TO LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL AND SERIOUS INJURY. *JB
