Pontiac Grand Prix Service Brakes, Air Antilock Safety Report | June 25, 1999

Reported on June 25, 1999

ABS BRAKING SYSTEM FAILED COMPLETELY. HIGH PRESSURE PUMP STOPPED RUNNING AND LEFT ABSOLUTELY NO BRAKING CAPABILITY. CHECK ABS LIGHT HAD FLASHED EARLIER, BUT HAD GONE OUT. OWNERS MANUAL GIVES THE IMPRESSION THAT SERVICE BRAKE WILL CONTINUE TO FUNCTION, BUT IT DID NOT.
