TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2000 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX. WHILE PARKED IN THE GARAGE, THE CONTACT OBSERVED ENGINE OIL LEAKING FROM THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND THEY STATED THAT THE FAILURE WAS CONTRIBUTED TO THE VALVE COVER GASKET. ALTHOUGH THE FAILURES WERE IDENTICAL TO THOSE MENTIONED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER 08V118000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING), THE RECALL PERTAINED TO VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH SUPERCHARGED V-6 ENGINES. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS EXCLUDED FROM THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
