Pontiac Grand Am Service Brakes, Hydraulic Foundation Components Disc Rotor Safety Report | Jan 10, 2002

Reported on Jan 10, 2002

I HAVE HAD MY FRONT ROTORS REPLACED AFTER ONLY 9 MONTHS (COMPLETELY RUSTED) AND THEY STILL GRIND AND RUST FROM THE WARPED HUBS. A RELATIVE OF MINE WHO IS A CERTIFIED GM MECHANIC SAID BOTH THE GRAND AM & ALERO BOTH HAVE THE WARPING PROBLEM WITH THE HUB & ROTORS AND GM IS AWARE OF IT BUT WILL NOT ISSUE A RECALL OR NOTICE OF DEFECT. WITHOUT REPLACEMENT EXCESSIVE RUSTING WILL CAUSE ISSUES WITH YOUR BREAKS AND POSSIBLY COMPLETE DAMAGE TO THE HUB.*AK
