Pontiac Grand Am Electrical System Safety Report | Dec 18, 2005

Reported on Dec 18, 2005

I OWN A 2002 PONTIAC GRAND AM SE 1. I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE PASS LOCK SYSTEM. THE SECURITY LIGHT COMES ON IN THE CAR, AND EVENTUALLY THE CAR HAS PROBLEMS STARTING. THE ENGINE CRANKS BUT THE CAR WILL NOT START. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM AND THERE IS NO RECALL ON IT. I BELIEVE THAT THIS PROBLEM COULD CREATE PARTICULARLY UNSAFE SITUATIONS, AND SHOULD BE RECALLED. MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE PASS LOCK SYSTEMS IN 2002 PONTIAC GRAND AMS. I HAVE LOOKED AT THE FORUMS. *NM
