DT: CONSUMERS DAUGHTER WENT TO START THE VEHICLE AND IT WOULD NOT START. THE VEHICLE TURNED OVER BUT DID NOT START. THE INDICATOR LIGHT FOR THE THEFT SYSTEM WAS ON. SHE HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED HOME. HAD TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF, PUT IT IN THE ON POSITION FOR TEN MINUTES, THEN SHUT IT OFF, THEN ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE. IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL THIS WAS WHAT IT RECOMMENDED TO DO IN ORDER TO BYPASS THE THEFT SYSTEM. THE DEALER HAS NOT CHECKED THIS VEHICLE. *AK UPDATED 12/07/05. *JB
