Pontiac Grand Am Communications Horn Assembly Safety Report | Dec 03, 2003
Reported on Dec 03, 2003
THERE ARE ONLY TWO VERY SMALL AREAS ON THE STEERING WHEEL WHERE THE HORN CAN BE ACTIVATED. THESE MUST BE PRESSED VERY PRECISELY WITH A FAIR AMOUNT OF FORCE. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE UNSAFE BECAUSE THE EXTRA TIME TO FIND AND HIT THESE SPOTS GIVE ONE TO TWO ADDITIONAL SECONDS TO SOUND THE HORN, WILL RESULT IN NOT ALLOWING THE PERSON WARNED TO HAVE SUFFICIENT TIME TO RESPOND. *NLM | |
