Pontiac G6 Fuel/propulsion System Safety Report | Jan 04, 2013
Reported on Jan 04, 2013
2006 PONTIAC G6 STARTED EMITTING A STRONG ODOR OF FUEL REGARDLESS OF FUEL LEVEL OR IF THE CAR WAS RUNNING OR NOT. FIRST VISUAL INSPECTION REVEALED THAT THERE WAS NOT A STEADY LEAK OF FUEL ON THE GROUND UNDER THE CAR. THE FUEL ODOR PROGRESSIVELY INTENSIFIED AND UPON THE SECOND MORE THOROUGH INSPECTION THERE IS A LEAK FROM THE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY DIRECTLY ON TOP OF THE FUEL TANK AND ABOVE THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. *TR | |
