TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHENEVER THE BRAKES WERE DEPRESSED, THE BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE AND WHENEVER THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS NOT BEING DEPRESSED, THE BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE DUE TO CORROSION OF THE WIRING CONNECTOR. IN ADDITION, THE VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL WOULD NOT ENGAGE DUE TO THE CORROSION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE FAILURE UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 09V036000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING: BRAKE LIGHTS) HOWEVER, HIS VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 205,302.
