TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 25 MPH, THE BRAKES WERE DEPRESSED HOWEVER THE BRAKE LIGHTS DID NOT ILLUMINATE. ALSO, THE BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD SPORADICALLY ILLUMINATE WITHOUT THE BRAKE PEDAL BEING DEPRESSED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BPP SWITCH NEEDED TO BE RE-CALIBRATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V036000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING). THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 80,000.
