TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS WERE CONTINUOUSLY ILLUMINATING ALTHOUGH THE BRAKES WERE NOT DEPRESSED OR ENGAGED. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO SWITCH GEARS UNLESS SHE WOULD APPLY EXTREME FORCE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE AND REFUSED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED BUT OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 09V036000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING: BRAKE LIGHTS). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 124,000.
