TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 PONTIAC G6. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD NOT ILLUMINATE WHEN THE BRAKES WERE DEPRESSED. THE BRAKE LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE HOWEVER WHEN THE BRAKES WERE NOT BEING APPLIED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 09V036000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING) BUT WAS ADVISED BY THE MANUFACTURER THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSIS WHERE THE BRAKE SWITCH WAS REPLACED. THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED.
