TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 PONTIAC G5. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAG SYSTEM FAILED AND THE WARNING LIGHT WAS PERMANENTLY ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THERE WERE FAULTY GROUND WIRES IN THE STEERING WHEEL. THE WIRING WAS REPLACED BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE DEALER REPLACED THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAGS. THE FAILURE RECURRED AND THE DEALER HAD TO REPLACE THE MASTER CONTROL MODULE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DEALER COULD NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE REPAIR WOULD REMEDY THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 42,000. | |
