Nissan Murano Seats Safety Report | Jan 18, 2010

Reported on Jan 18, 2010

I HAVE A 2006 NISSAN MURANO. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, AND THE DRIVER SEAT MADE A SNAP SOUND, AND SUDDENLY LEANED TO ONE SIDE. IT TOOK ME A FEW SECONDS TO REALIZE WHAT HAD HAPPENED, AND GET CONTROL OF THE CAR. I HAVE CHECKED WITH NISSAN, AND THEY ARE TELLING ME IT IS GOING TO COST $1,000.00 TO FIX THE SEAT, AND THAT THIS IS A RECURRING PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS. THIS SEEMS TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE TO ME AND A RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED. I HAVE CONTACTED NISSAN CORPORATE WITH THIS ISSUE AS WELL, AND HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. I HAVE ALSO DONE ONLINE RESEARCH, AND THIS SEEMS TO BE A PROBLEM WITH MULTIPLE YEARS OF THESE MURANOS. *TR
