Nissan Altima Air Bags Safety Report | June 01, 2013
Reported on June 01, 2013
THE ORANGE PASSENGER AIR BAG LIGHT (UNDERNEATH HAZARD LIGHTS BUTTON) COMES ON WHEN A FULL-GROWN ADULT (150 LBS) IS SEATED IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THIS MEANS THAT THE AIRBAG WOULD NOT DEPLOY IF I CRASH WITH THEM IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, WHICH MAKES ME VERY NERVOUS ABOUT SAFETY. IT DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY SINGLE TIME, BUT ABOUT 75% OF THE TIME A FULL-GROWN ADULT IS SEATED IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. I'VE TAKEN IT TO NISSAN DEALERS, AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO FIX IT. | |
