LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT 2011 car safety problem was reported on Feb 24, 2012.LAND ROVER RANGE ROVER SPORT 2011, manufactured by LAND ROVER had a problem with STEERING . while driving vehicle straight on a 2 lane road, suddenly had to swerve left to avoid a car coming out of a parking lot without looking - and without any warning the power steering totally failed - and i could not pull the heavy truck back into the lane - and almost had a head on collision!! more disturbing is the fact that upon inspection, land rover and the local dealer, land rover main line in pa, admitted this happened to another customer - but have no idea why this happened and can not assure that it is repaired!!! this is a dangerous issue! there may be other unsuspecting drivers on the road in 2011 range rovers who may have a head on collision if this happens to them because the wheel is very, very heavy to turn without the power assist steering - and - when not expecting that sudden loss of power assist - the recipe for danger is heightened! *tr.Mileage was 7000 miles.
